yes sir vinj, the claim stub thingie would be remedied once we have the point-of-sale system. the computer guys are working on it. the POS system would also make our inventories easier to manage.

as for the reception, work is going to start hopefully next week for the service advisor's reception (in front, where the guards are positioned right now.

Once all our operations, facilities and systems are finished, we're planning to open mondays to sundays, 8am till 7pm. We're also working on having a "shuttle van" for those who work in Makati who'll leave their cars in the morning.

sirs mikmik and kupaloids, marami pong exotic cars kase po yung modifications arm namen called design technik motorsports services Euro and US cars. Yun nga po ang problema namen, takot mga tao pumasok. LOL.

our prices naman po are competitive with the better known service centers like Rapide and Servitek.

At tip lang po, yung equipment namen ay top of the line, kase po ang main business ng Mancor (mother company of Autotechnika) ay magbenta ng automotive servicing equipment.

    Torque,
Thanks for accommodating me kanina amidst your hectic schedule. I learned a lot with regards to your services and quality control procedures.

Salamat din sa pagtour sakin sa shop and for revealing to me future projects (which was really interesting, specially the EB lounge and the lecture rooms that you plan to set-up). I hope you be able to push thru with your grand opening soon!

    More power and good luck!

transtech basically flushes your OLD transmission fluid out of the system and brings in NEW, CLEAN tranmission fluid to your gears... Think of it like an engine flush and oil change for your trasmission.

alwayz_yummy: P900 ang labor ng transtech ATF machine. I don't know how much ATf you're gonna need because it would depend on (1) AT capacity (in liters) (2) last time you had your ATF flushed. Pag first time mo magpa transtech marami talaga ang ipapalit kase andaming naiipit na dumi sa gears ng AT.

MaDox: sige drop my name, tell them you were referred by James. Hahaha. No seriously MaDox, tell me your experience after coming here. We'll see if the reprimands and the new policies are working.

Boybi: Transtech replaces virtually 100% of your ATF and it also cleans your AT. Automated Dialysis Machine siya kaya no need to bring down the pan and do manual flushing (which actually replaces only 30-50% of ATF because a lot of fluid is trapped in the inner workings of your AT)

Djerms: No problem dude. Sana nga lahat pumupunta rito para they'd see what we're trying to do to improve the state of automotive servicing in the RP.

Sir Vinj: our problem with OEM manuals is that they were based on cars running on good roads, no traffic and no dirt/sand/mud on the asphalt. Special case ang RP. We actually base some of our recommendations from our experience, like sa ATF. Manufacturers say you have to have it flushed every 40,000km. We do it 30k. pag pinaabot mo ng 40k yan galon galong ATF na kelangan mo para malinis yung transmission mo. minsan nga transmission failure na eh. aantayin pa ba naten yun?

    transtech: P3,000++
    transmission overhaul plus parts: P30,000++
clean and well maintained A/T + smiling car owner: priceless.
    LOL.

Who was the SA you talked to? What is your car make and model? Did he check the timing belt or did he base it only on the dashboard reading? Have you had it replaced before? If yes, did you use the original part? I'll do the assesment if your car really needs a new timing belt and i'll admonish the SA if he has a fault.

Sir BrainMafia: Not all the techs know how to use our scanner. Since last July we have training sessions scheduled to remedy that. For the reception, just look at my post before. Dami na nagreklamo dun. Haha. Ginagawan na po ng paraan. Pasensha po, di pa tapos yung reception area sa harap.

Wala pong problema kung dexron III gamitin nyo. Mas maganda nga po iyon eh, mas mahal nga lang (double the price of dexron II). Yes sir we have USA88 Dexron II available. Sa flushing po, it would depend on your AT capacity and how much gunk would come out of your AT.

to everyone: thank you very much for the feedback. this would really help us a lot. our main concern of course would be to provide better service to all car owners.

Our school called Automotive Servicing Institute is planning to conduct seminars on how a car works, repair and maintenance, and safety driving. Will update you guys when we've scheduled everything.

That's a good come-on on the marketing side.

Results of the Transtech "dialisis"... we used up a whopping 24 liters of ATF before the fluid indicator on the machine cleared up as it seems the previous owner of the car did not bother to change ATF! At least i know i'm running clean now... spent 5K+ for the whole process (labor plus ATF), which is still cheaper than overhauling or changing trannies.

One additional observation though: when i mentioned about changing the timing belt to one of the SAs (can't recall to whom) i was promptly told "Dapat every 60,000kms" - which is pretty much overkill, especially if it's told to someone who has some knowledge on cars and maintainance. My owner's manual calls for 100,000kms but i usually opt to change at 80,000kms... ingat lang on such haphazard assessments as it can be construed to the practices of some shops on having things changed without first taking a look at the service recommendation of the manufacturer (as this can vary between makes/models) and an evaluation of the service history, condition and useage of the car.

Mag-park din kayo ng mga bulok na kotse sa workshop... para may kasama naman yung mga kotse namin... kaka-intimidate yung mga BM at MB na nagpapa-service.

    Grabe vinj... 24 liters umikot?

Regarding timing belt's, 60k isn't too far off (for city driving like me), then again it really depends between milage and how old the car is. I had my civic's belt changed at 60k km coz it was showing signs of wear and tear. In the end just have a visual check of your belts. Till end of september you do get a free 21 pt checkup hehehe...

as for non bm's and mb's I'll gladly park my old civic with them It might be old, but it still gets good milage and probably even get's better millage than those bm's and mb's

Yup... 24L to clean all the gunk up. It's clean as a whistle now.

Yup, we have the same sentiment that several factors affect when a belt needs to be changed... What rang a bell on my mind was that I was promptly told a set answer without the car or it's history first being assessed.

frequent customer ako ng autoteknika dito sa fairview, so far ok naman ang gawa nila sa 97 mazda ko. i always look for Ernie (SA). although medyo nahirapan ung mechanics nila sa mazda since unti lang ang mazda familias dito pero still job well done.

torque, its nice to know that autoteknika is really doing something about the complaints of customers. keep up the good work!

wow ganun kagaling yun SA mo sa autotechnika?

but i guess 60k is a pretty close estimate however you look at it I guess roads and traffic here is crappy... don't know how long that old lady was in the car idling in and out of traffic with the A/C on.

if you want a second opinion I hear speedyfix does a good job with belt replacements.
