Bicutan and Sucat exits both causes heavy traffic in SLEX due to the old-age traffic system that the road-users have to deal with upon exit (aka the TRAFFIC ENFORCERS who just let one lane pass for a hell of 10 minutes while all the other lanes pile up up to the end of the previous exit).
Going to Makati using SLEX is smooth-sailing at morning for me from Bicutan up to Nichols toll. After that it's traffic all the way to Magallanes, which is about half an hour to drive through for a relatively short distance. Going home from work by 5pm, smooth-sailing from Magallanes up to Merville exit, after that it's a long way ahead to Bicutan. Add to that the times when I also have to give the wages to our drivers at late night, half of the toll plaza in nichols is closed, making the lines longer on the wretched highway. And to think they dare raise their toll prices for their so-called "service"? God, you dont even deserve being paid for that.
My travel time these days from Villamor to Bicutan using the SLEX takes about an hour by the time I go home from work, compared to taking the service road that consumes just about half. Sure you make stops due to the jeeps, but it's way better than what SLEX is offering, especially now that the service road has been repaired.
SLEX is just a pain to travel on these days. There's no room for expansion even. How I wish that they could just consider the thought of making the SKYWAY as an extension and make its prices equal to that of SLEX. Para naman magamit na ng husto ung taas nila kahit non-rush hours. Malaki rin mabababa sa vehicle volume nun sa baba kung sakali.
