MANILA, Philippines – A driver was killed while several of his passengers are in critical condition after the bus he drove rammed a dump truck in Quezon City Friday morning, a 990AM report said.
The driver, identified as 27-year-old Arturo Albaladejo, died on the spot after the Malanday Metroline bus (TVW-861) he drove slammed against a dump truck (CNS-675) parked beside a construction site along the northbound lane of Quezon Avenue at around 2:15 a.m.
The report said that 19 passengers were injured, four of them in critical condition.
Three of the passengers in critical condition were rushed to the East Avenue Medical Center while eight others, one of them also in critical condition, were rushed to the Quezon City General Hospital.
Passengers said that there were no signages near the construction site and that Albaladejo was driving fast when the accident happened.
