Who knows under that helmet wrapping that motorcycle is a friend, a relative or an officemate of ours. What we need here is patience.

what we need is someone who's also on the same page as these b*st*rds...
or maybe someone who's even worse... sana lahat ng maka-engkuwentro ng mga
hinayupak na bobo at gagong motorcycle driver ay katulad ni Teehankee...

Even when I'm in my motorbike I still find myself dismayed by some of the motorcycle drivers... special mention goes to those who:
- counterflow even if there is oncoming traffic (death wish?)
- cut in front of me (in my motorbike/car) or in front of some poor soul with inches to spare
- riding REALLY SLOW in the fast lane (mga 40kph kaya on a national highway)
- changing lanes without signaling ... (jeepneys and taxis also come to mind)
- riding on the sideWALK
- queuing in front of everybody in a traffic light and taking off really really really really slow(happens even when I'm on my "sporty" bike... happens even more when I'm on my underbone or my car... nakakagigil sometimes... 200+hp and nowhere to go... sigh)
I generally experience the same stress on the road whether I'm on my bike or in my car. It gets worse when I'm on my car though since I have to add bumper to bumper traffic on that list.

October 24th, 2009 11:47 AM #77well, we cant blame those guys who hates bikers... I am a biker too and i've been riding for quite some time now, but i prefer to ride solo since i still have yet to see a group who is really serious in imposing proper riding etiquette to their members. I have lots of biker friends and instead of praising me for riding properly, all i get is that look that tells me i ride like a sissy girl.....
I have yet to see a group ride who doesnt interfere the traffic. I have yet to see a group ride who dont mind if their ranks are broken. I have yet to see a bike who overtakes properly and not squeezes in between cars. Cars dont run on rails! they also adjust their space on the road like bikes so please avoid squeezing between them.
I have joined a couple of rides and i was really disappointed with how the ride went. A rider who swerves left and right and hitting a couple of riders just because he is trying to impress his backride! wtf! Riders seems like racing and overtaking each other for no ****ing reason!
It is really hard to command respect from cagers if we ourselves do not deserve the respect we want to have. Ride like you drive and for sure cagers would give respect to you, and you would be truly experiencing what riding is all about.
Right now, I only ride with my dad. Riding is a wonderful experience, you should not waste it by rushing through the streets.
I am not an anti biker, In fact I do believe that freeways access should be lowered to at least 110 cc bikes BUT the biking community should show our countrymen that they are responsible enough to be granted access to the "safest roads" in our country. We should give them assurance that we would not be introducing chaos to the freeways. And until we are struggling to discipline our biker brothers... we will always feel that hate from our cager brothers.

October 24th, 2009 08:09 PM #79You've hit the nail in the head, badsekktor.
I mean, these days, almost all car drivers universally view them as invisible pests on the road: you never know when they suddenly pounce on you. If that's the case, then there's something really wrong with them. Add the fact that motorcycle accidents have been on the rise for quite some time now...well, you get the picture.

Good. We don't like you, too. Ignore us, we'll ignore you but do us a favor: Please do not hit us on the road.

Here's another picture of a motorcycle accident, albeit a very minor one:
The traffic they caused was major though...
The bike in front was hit by another rider from behind. Ang tagal-tagal pa nilang nagmumurahan eventhough you can see from the picture that they're blocking the entrance to a private subdivision where there's a school kaya the car behind them couldn't get in.
Andami nang sumisigaw sa kanila na itabi na lang nila pero wala, dinededma lang nung nasal harapan, hintayin daw muna ang traffic police.
