ts1n1ta: Looks like the truck ran over the van at high speed... innocent lives are lost. Another senseless accident caused by a unfit driver. May they rest in peace.

This is probably 1 of the worst accidents in my hometown. Lets just pray that the people involved will recover soon and for the 2 who died, may they rest in peace.

Problem with the brakes again, IMO, they should change the law so that not only the driver but the owner of the truck be held responsible for such accidents. A lot of assholes out there are only after maximizing their profits and skimping on much needed vehicle maintanance expenditures. I should know, I used to work for one, whenever one of the drivers of my ex boss mentions repairs or check up of the delivery trucks to him, he would yell at them. "Wala akong pakialam sa repairs, basta ideliver niyo na yan at marami pa tayong pending.", and even if business was slow, he'd still have a handful of excuses.
