clearly a scam... this has been going on for quite sometime at kapag kumagat ung txt recipient, the sender will most likely ask you to deposit a certain amount to a certain deposit account (i.e. w/c is almost always an ATM acct) supposedly representing the tax on the prize before you can make any claim.
if the text recipient falls for this, right after making the deposit ay magkaron ng ATM withdrawal from the account and voila... na scam na siya!!!
this is one of the reasons why banks are getting strict with account opening requirements to prevent this types of deposit accounts from being opened & used for this kind of scam. but still, there are a lot of unscrupulous syndicates out there who still succeed, so be very careful...

You will call them. They promise you the prize. You get excited. They ask for details. Then they say someone will contact you saying something like, you have to pay x amount in taxes or processing fee to release the car or some other prize. Some people actually fall for it and deposit into an account, or meet with someone and hand over the money. Then nothing.
Like the advance fee fraud. (Use Google to search for these words, or "Nigerian scam".)
Some variation I suppose is that when they meet you, they mug you.
