Your First Car... A Memoir

My first car was a 2 door Ford Cortina which i bought second hand from a dealership in arnaiz ave. In q.c. used it during my 3rd and 4th yr in college back in 86' to 88'. Eventually sold it after. My first brand new car was a double cab nissan in 1990 and it was memorable to me as we used it to sleep at night during the baguio killer earthquake (as im from baguio).

My first car was a 1972 VW Beetle. I learned a lot about cars with it as my uncle was a mechanic and I was his alalay whenever something needed to be fixed with it. My most memorable moment with it was when the engine burst into flames (common fault with a Beetle) while I was out on a date with my GF. Everything turned out ok. She became my wife.

heheh mine was a volkswagen bettle too. 1500cc, 1960's model. I bought it for 30thousand few days before my marriage in 1996. Thats where i've learned how to drive. I can still remember the days when my wife and i will wake up those early mornings and have to practice drive along the highway of la trinidad, enter the compound of benguet state university hehehe

We all have similar Beetle first car stories but mine was a Dune Buggy w/c i got for 20k way back in 1993. I remember on our first year of marriage my wife and I used to joke about getting soaked on each half of our side whenever we got caught in the rain in traffic. The Beetle proved a good first car for most of us with limited budget that time.

Just got mine last monday,

It's a second hand(literally coz i got it from the first owner) 1997 Mazda 323 Familia Gen 2.5..

Even though it's pretty old, I'm still proud of it because the money that I used to purchase this car comes from my own pocket.
