give it more time. the K-series engines are relatively "new" and tuners need more time to tinker with it, just like what they did with the B-series engines, which have been around for the past 15+ years.
^^^Link to two 9.6XX sec K's, yung nasa left RSX aka DC5, yun ang tawag dito sa US (Skunk2's car), sa Japan they call it Integra, yung nasa right naman Team K-seires' Integra aka DC2, with a K engine...
Alanghiya! With that engine on the EK or EG hatch, pakpak na lang lilipad ka sa lakas ng power!! hehehe!!!
Mas astig kung stock look in and out IMO tapos bahala ka na what's under the hood like what OTEP said.
mga sir.. im planning to swap my d15 nonvtec carb type sa b16 para sa EG ko pero wala ako idea how much it will cost me and where i can find those engines..
thanks a lot..
hhmmm... Sa US lang naman sila strict pagdating sa emmissions eh, hindi sa europe... for example, yung mga Euro E36 M3's push 321hp, pero nung i-import nila sa US yung the same car, naiba yung mga specs and everything that it only pushed 240hp, that's so much weaker than the Euro version...
quote from http://www.answers.com/topic/bmw-m3
The first E36 M3 to be imported to the United States was the 1995 model, which received a 3.0 L engine with 240 hp (176 kW) and 305 N•m (225 ft·lbf) (S50B30US) and a different suspension. The reasons for the less powerful motor were largely due to excessive costs for the US market with the original engine and possible difficulty in getting the Euro engine to pass emission tests.
In the US, it's usually emissions tuning and a more restrictive catalytic converter that robs them of power. It's not to say the Europe doesn't care about emissions, but their regulations regarding certain emissions aren't as strict as in the US.
Hence, Audi's engines are lean-burn in Europe, but not in the US.
*emongedmund: Set aside at least 100,000 pesos and do it right. The engine costs around 65k, but you'll need a fuel tank (since you only have a carb'd d15, your fuel pump might not be strong enough) and you should probably get a 4-disc brake conversion to go along with the engine, too.
Budget around 120k, total, I guess... get better tires and springs while you're at it.![]()
Ang pagbalik ng comeback...
