if it's based on visible light optics, like our eyes are,
i guess it be better we remove them plastic covers,
and we best strive to keep our plates clean and read-able.

as i recall, the policy was somewhat... vague.
one rule for older cars with old car plates, another rule for newer cars with the new car plates.
    hogwash, if you ask me.
they should have simply said, "wala! bawal! no exceptions!"

    but the fact is,
whatever the policy is on paper,
    ... walang enforcement!

ang dami daming mga plakang naka-plastic cover.
yung iba nga, ay sinadyang darkened, no doubt to prevent ease of reading, aka, coding.
one will not fail to see them on the road on any given day.

    My take on this:

While I understand the need for privacy, there are some things, for the sake of public safety and order, that have to be made visible. Isa na diyan yung license plate of any vehicle.

    Examples:

    • Government vehicle being used pang motel, pang mall on weekends (oras ba ng trabaho yun?) etc.
    • Criminals using stolen vehicles (para mas mahirap ma identify na may alarma)
    • Corrupt government officials using impounded or legally seized vehicles for their own use (Court sheriffs are notorious for this!)
    • And #1 most common and worst on this list is ayaw ng mga mayayabang at k*pal na drivers ma-identify sila nung mga sinasalbahe nila sa daan. (Paborito ito ng mga hit & run)

ALPR + RFID = faster toll booth processing. ALPR is Automatic License Plate Recognition which can recognize daw up to 3 cars ahead.

Parang wag na lang tutal nlex naman to at we rarely go to North. I don't fully trust their system to give them that much information.
Question lang, how about for those cars that are using conduction stickers with temporary plates? Can you update your record with them later on when you receive your permanent ones? (na hindi hassle sobra gawin, that is... )

Ganun ba talaga pag nag load ng easytrip from BPI?

Standard yan convenience fee, either thru online banking or Gcash or a loading station. Applies to both EasyTrip and Autosweep.

Ah ok. Na wirdohan lang ako. Just loaded easytrip and autosweep kanina.

If you used GCash, hiwalay ang pag bawas ng service fee. i.e. if you load Php100, it will reflect Php100 but then may additional bawas na Php10 or whatever service fee amount sa GCash load mo.

Either way, you are still charged the service fee but it is not taken off your load anymore so ang load mo hindi magiging Php90 lang.

Nasa website ng easytrip.ph walang service charge but if you load via gcash may charge, P12 ang charge. Via sms na smart sim, no charge

Weird yung Easytrip ko kanina. Nagregister sya sa Balintawak for 60 pesos. Pagdating sa SCTEX exit ayaw na kahit card, handheld reader, or manual entry. Ayun libre. Not sure kung kelan nila babawiin.

Minsan ayaw basahin RFID tag ko (on windshield- butas yung tint where the RFID Easytrip & Autosweep stickers are)

Sometimes the gates open, sometimes I have to give them the card or tap it (pag self service). Bihira lang naman ako mag expressway... (yung trucks namin rarely lang magkaproblema passing through though)

    Is this a common occurrence?
