You should be reading that thread about cycling shorts at the Pitstop then....friggin hilarious.
Anyway, I'd give him (the thread starter) the benefit of the doubt. I mean in all reality, I've seen some really nice houses some Pinoys have in SoCal. It's a humbling experience. I mean he could've won the lottery or won in a casino at Las Vegas and just didn't want people to know.
There certainly are some Pinoys who hit it big in Reno over the years. The Pinay "tsismis" grapevine is rife with such rumors which often turned out to be true.
If I won a million bucks in a casino, I wouldn't say how I got it. That would make me traceable which is the last thing I'd want.
lets just say that what you are planning is "true", at nagawa mo na nga yan, i suggest better save a lot of more money than that because you'll be needing life and memorial insurance, magiging takaw mata ka sa mga hoodlums and kidnappers dito

How long have been working as a nurse? Most RNs that I know make 2k/week. One of them, to this day is still driving an '01 Civic which was given to her by her dad while she was attending college, she bought a 6-bedroom house instead of splurging on a car.
i've been thinking... my bro in AZ works in IT field and earns close to 90k a year. his wife also works in the same field and probably earns as much as he does. and they have couple of apartments that earns 70k a year. all they have is an old honda sport coupe and BMW325i. just wondering why they can't save the same amount of money to buy a lambo or RR like you considering they earn more than you do, they've been working longer than you and i know cost of living in CA is way too expensive compared to AZ... i wonder why...
maybe it's all about priorities...
