We had a MB 300E W124 for 15 years, logged on 96,000+ miles (153,600 kms.) Sold it last 2005. Sabi ng new owner ang ganda pa rin ng condition, hinahataw pa daw sa highway!
Our office also has a 1996 Civic VTi, logged in 130,000+ kms na rin. Still in very good condition except for the body! Daming scratches and dents!
On the other hand, I have an aunt who has the 1993 Sentra (2nd Gen, ECCS). Bought this unit brand new. Logged in 220,000+ kms na! Up to now, ginagamit pa araw-araw!

Our 1996 Nissan Ultra Power Eagle Series.. over 750,000 km, went through 2 overhauls and 3 repaint jobs already. Rota niya dati Manila - Quezon - Bicol and back mga 2 to 3 times a week consistently. From my Dad, passed it on to me (my 1st car, dun din ako natuto magdrive) then to my younger Bro and now pagamit na sa tao service pang piyesa piyesa, at napakaganda pa rin tumakbo! Not planning to get rid of it anymore. Bilib na bilib Dad ko sa Nissan Pickups pang harabas kaya kumuha din kami ng Nissan Bravado Series pamalit hehe. Super reliable and cheap to maintain kasi.

No overhaul
Replaced Timing Chain two years ago
Change oil lang every 10Kms.
Ok pa engine. Yung body lang talaga medyo kailangan i-body repair.

July 30th, 2007 08:15 AM #48... '96 Toyota Corolla GLi, M/T, 210K+ km ... still going strong. averages 12kpl. routine PM (casa) until 20K kms, then the usual oil change (~every 4 mos.), tune up (~2 years), wheel rotation/alignment (annual). i replace my front tires yearly, the old front tires going to the rear (in effect, every tire spends 2 years in active duty). everything is STOCK until the 10th year. just recently changed my rims (fr 14" to 15") and headlights just to give it a 'new' look after all those years. kept my still working old headlights just in case the new ones flip out on me. body is well preserved having avoided any major accident (lucky, lucky!). replaced all belts twice (every 100K kms) ... even if old belts were still OK. brake pads are also replaced after every 18 mos. hard to anticipate when a battery dies out so i always buy a new one when the old battery reaches its 14th month (new battery stays in the trunk as spare)... works fine with me, so far. tip? just avoid those performance mods in the first 5 yrs.

July 30th, 2007 09:05 AM #49My 97 Civic Vti with 184,000 km odometer reading, I use this in my daily commute. Usual problem are oil leaks. Other repair works done were underchassis repair at Cruven, oil gasket replacement, yearly aircon compressor repair due to noisy compressor clutch and the usual PMs.

my car just hit 187T kms. '98 corolla xe. 2nd owner. 1st owner boss ko. repairs sa suspension, oil leaks. balak ko ipa-overhaul. medyo maingay na. but still runs quite well (150 km/hr sa nlex top speed). no smoke.
Buhay na buhay ang BGC this evening. Bukas halos lahat ng restaurants. Sabi pa nung isang cashier...
