Most of the Presidential Cars now belongs to Cito Beltran.

Mantrade became a Ford dealer in 1918... prior to these they had a general merchandising business(cotton goods, gas engines, marine engines etc.) By this time I beleive Bachrach Motor Co. switched to another brand.

1931 Photo of Bachrach Motor Co. dealership in Manila.

No brand were montioned. But judging from the photo above, it looks like the were Chryslers(at least thats what the cars look like).

I have a newer 1933 advertisement of Bachrach Motor Co. by this time they were selling Austins, both American and English, at the bottom it says (Sole P.I. Distributor).
Check out this price, American Austin "The Coupe" P1,200.

Another 1933 ad, this time a Ford, at the bottom it says MANILA TRADING & SUPPLY COMPANY. "120 Ford Service stations throughout the Philippines".
    Mantrade?

    Wow!

I dunno why but whenever I look at old pictures and ads (like pre '70s) of Manila life, I feel na medyo asenso pa tayo at the time. Iba na talga ngayon...

old Manila is like the New Makati, Eastwood, Greenhills today. 20 years later pangit na din pumunta sa mga lugar na 'to coz of overpopulation. just like what happened to Manila.

the new oasis, baka nearby provinces like Pampanga, Cavite, Batangas.

tingin ko talaga Batangas ang the best place to be in the future bec. of the Batangas pier.
