personally, I wouldn't use ethanol or biodiesel myself... i'm not yet convinced that it won't lead to long-term mechanical deterioration, particularly for vehicles that don't have official backing for the fuel (Ford is the only one locally).

the cost savings are almost non-existent anyway, at least with something like LPG, the reduction in fuel economy is offset by the large price difference per liter of the fuel (and it's the cost savings that counts at the bottom line for consumers, not the km/liter figure).

and for what small environmental benefit that using E10 in my car will bring, well, I say that my car (and every other new car sold) is extremely clean already compared to the unregulated jeepneys and buses and taxicabs out there. if i really want my car to be environmentally friendly, I'll just go get a Honda Jazz 1.3.
