Yes, you'll need a photocopy of you birth certificate and ID. On my case, I used my school ID. That's pretty much what was required back in 2006.

Anyone can get a TIN under E.O. 98. Dala ka lang ng xerox ng B.C. mo. Ewan ko lang kung p'wede kumuha ng TIN ang mga minors. Deretso ka na lang sa LTO then kung hihingan ka ng TIN then saka ka na lang din kumuha.

if hindi mo naman ipang hahanapbuhay, get a non-pro.

    renewal is cheaper.

and yes, as an ID, non-pro and pro licenses carry the same weight.

Depende sa purpose mo kung bakit mo kailangan ng license.

Non-professional license is for those who want to drive a private vehicle, and with no intention of deriving primary income from driving.

Professional license is for those who want to become a driver by profession. Ibig sabihin, kung gusto mong maging driver ka ng jeep, taxi, bus at kung ano-ano pang pampasada, you need a professional license.

Take the word professional in "professional driver's license" in its legal meaning. Hindi ibig sabihin neto, magaling ka magdrive (as in "professional!), kundi, isa kang driver by profession.
