kailangan kasi natin pagkaka isa ng mga key decision makers hehehe di nag aaway away :-)

dont compare us to china. iba ang situation nila sa atin tsaka talo tayo sa resources hehehe i think its better to compare our nation to its neighbor and brother malaysia...they prodiced their wn models na...perodua is so good theyre being sold in europe. perodua is privately owned and being helped out by toyota's little brother daihatsu...toyota and daihatsu already bought some of their designs to marketred under their names..a testimony of how good thyre getting at...malaysia isnt THAT rich...madami din squatter hehehe kaya lang meron silang pagkakaisa :-) ewan ko ba ang hilig kasi natin gayahin ang mga kano pati political model ginaya na din natin eh hindi naman bagay sa bansa at sitwasyon natin ;-) maganda lang sa papel at pakinggan ang sistema nila ;-)

The Legacy is actually the Daihatsu Mira which was converted into a pick-up by Norkis!

nakita ko na sya kahapon...masasabi ko lang, you'll get what you paid for B). companies might think twice before making it a company car, pero kun gawing taxi...baka pwede pa

interior is nice and clean, good headroom. kaso nainis ako sa handles that roll the window down -- nagwa wobble. kids would wreck the darn things with ease

Benjie_DCP:China today is not really a Communist state
dude, bawal magtayo/magaccess ng website, or magsend ng mail na me diyan with the words "Freedom" or "democracy" sa China -- and all internet traffic is being monitored/filtered :D

anyways, going back to the topic...the HA imho is about one or two generations behind the bigger manufacturers here. i'm not really knowledgeable about its history, but if this is a first try, basta't solid ung mechanicals, transmission, etc., ok na rin. tsaka na nila plantsahin ung ibang details.

kaso...the big question is: who's prepared to become their guinea pig? B) imho it's quite an ambitious plan to start exporting at this stage. sana they the time to let it evolve some more

Let's not turn this into a political thing again...

For P350K overpriced sya. P200K siguro pwede pa... Malulugi Geely sa warranty claims.

Kung 200k baka pagisipan ko pa yan...

At the price of 350k i would choose the getz or the picanto before i can say geeeeely!
Yes i can save 100k if i will buy the geely but i am risking my 350k to a car that does not have build quality of a 450k korean built car.

Has anyone seen the engine yet? Is it still a carbureted engine? Or have they throw-in an EFI system? The three cylinder 1.0L engine for the Geely points to some Daihatsu Charade legacy.

From Carlo's pictures, outer door handles, the doors and the windshield are the same as the Charade's.

...planning to visit their showroom this weekend Hehehe... the thought of buying one has not even crossed my mind! Just want to compare this with the Daihatsu Charade!

in another point of view, sa laki ng geographical location ng China, mas madami sila ma-mine na bakal panggawa ng tsikot as compared to Japan na bumibili na lang sa China din hehehe

It was Nanjing something (can't remember) that bought rover, SAIC owns the intellectual property rights for the rover 25 and 75 which they intend to produce.

Okay, so i didn't notice that all of the previous chit-chat was done on 2005. Malapit na mag-2008. This is from the inquirer http://archive.inquirer.net/view.php...tory_id=104923
you better read this. The thing is, I don't think that the article is referring to the HA 1.0 model anymore since it's talking about a 1.1L hatchback and a 1.3L sedan. I visited the Geely website and the hatchback might just be the HQ model. It's so much better than the HA 1.0 (perhaps). When we become sure of the real identity of this car, then it would be really interesting to compare it with the Alto.
