I've seen a Level 5+ LR Defender. And these things are powered by 125bhp diesel engines! hehe.
Usually mga Suburban at S-Class na yung Level 7. Kung for Mid-East clients, Nissan Patrol or Nissan Patrol Super Safari or Toyota LC's karamihan. Suburban naman is popular in Mexico and U.S. Sa Europe, they favor big sedans.

reinforced laminated glass is only good as a deterrent & prevention of pety crimes such as: someone breaking into your car by smashing the window, .22 caliber weaons fired from a distance, small projectiles such as rocks, etc.
but for 50-70K it really ain't that bad.

For me, the best protection you can have is awareness of your surroundings and a good head on your shoulders so you'll know what to do in the event of an emergency or ambush. The best way to survive an ambush is to get away from it and not try to fight it out since these assasins probably are well prepared and have knowledge of how you'll react.
So...bug out the first chance you get.

Pwede na din yan, if may bumato nang salamin mo. Or while driving, biglang may lumipad na malaking bato.

playing devil's advocate...
it'd really be handy to have a good shooter on your ambush team to group a couple of shots in a specific glass area to defeat it and allow the succeeding bullets to penetrate the interior.
and a good gun as well.

but, paano kung pagulungin ang granada sa ilalim ng sasakyan? useless IMHO maliban na lang kung armored ang buong sasakyan. but why the F are they marketing it as a response to foiled attack in the UK????
