WOW!!!
I've just test driven the 1.8L Focus and it is just unbelievable! The ride quality is at almost at par with mid-sized sedans! Engine power is VERY adequate! The features available and the overall build quality is just above the rest.
I'm a Mazda fanboy but I'll take the Focus Hatch over the MZ3 R.
Will post a more comprehensive test drive report later.

I would've thought you'd have driven it before now. :D

November 7th, 2005 06:47 PM #104Hi, currently own 1.8 focus for 1.5 months now. Just test drove a focus 2.0 hatch. As I've noticed, the two cars share the same ride quality, but the 2.0L was fast!!! Pulling power was a treat to the senses. 1.8 focus has louder whine engine sound. My dealer tells me though, that fuel consumption isn't good in city drive, but not gass guzzling. Estimated at 7-8 daw, easy on the gas pedal. Mine makes 8.5km/l may hataw pa, city. It does 9.5km/l city light traffic, if I really controll myself.
