Looks just like the 1st Verve concept!

Parang ang lau ng itsura dun sa dating Fiesta. Hatch/subcompact un dati, parang malaki na ito.
Saka darating ba d2 ito? D old 1 seems interesting sana.
***y looking honcho
The sleek -projector loaded- headlamps are complimented with a neatly raked windshield. Nice touch.
On the interior side note, that rounded air vent found on the left is reminiscent of the early Ford Escort models (as far back as the '70s). Seems like they just can't let it go.
sana eto na ung sinasabi ng FORD Group Philippines..
Total of five powertrain choices at launch from efficient 68 PS Duratorq TDCi diesel to new Duratec 1.6-litre Ti-VCT petrol engine which delivers 115 PS
With a broad array of powertrain choices, the new Fiesta is a responsive, yet efficient, performer.
New to the Fiesta range for European markets is the popular Ford Duratec 1.6-litre Ti-VCT engine. The 115 PS engine with variable intake cam timing, provides a well-balanced blend of performance and economy. It brings a 15 PS performance improvement over the outgoing Fiesta without a fuel consumption penalty.
The Fiesta range also retains:
* 1.25-litre (60 and 80 PS) and 1.4-litre (91 PS) Duratec petrol engines
* Both Duratorq TDCi common-rail diesel engines, the 1.4-litre (68 PS) and the 1.6-litre (90 PS - available with Diesel Particulate Filter) which have been enhanced with revised injection technology and electronic control sophistication.
Fiesta will be offered with Ford Durashift 5-speed manual transmission or the Durashift
4-speed automatic transmission (available with 1.4-litre (91 PS) Duratec engine).
It looks really nice outside but for some reason, I find the dash fugly.
They are related, just like the Mazda 3 and current Focus.
By the way, Mazda 2 was also 1st launched as a hatchback.
The Fiesta will also be available as a sedan...
The 1st Verve concept previewed the new Fiesta hatchback, the 2nd Verve concept previews the upcoming Fiesta sedan.

Finally, Ford decided to offer the Fiesta to other markets (aside Europe). Ford Europe makes excellent cars and they should be the front runner in making cars for Ford in Asia, South America, Africa and even in the US for passenger cars.
Ford should be a bit more bolder in attacking the market. They are losing business in other markets because they don't have a complete line-up to offer.
May this be a new start from Ford, willing to attack the market, introduce new designs and cover all segments, stop being too conservative and too concerned with what they think but what the market needs and wants.
Go Ford!
ganda nyan ahh.... sana i launch sa pinas... and sana wag fiesta pangalan.. parang walang dating
The sedan version....
-CarscoopThese are the first official pictures of the all-new Ford Fiesta sedan that made its global premiere today at China's Guangzhou Auto Show. The four-door Fiesta sedan is essentially the production version of the Verve Concept that was introduced at the same show in 2007 and according to Ford, it will be built at the company's new manufacturing facility in Nanjing with sales in China scheduled to begin in early 2009. FoMoCo said that additional variations of the Fiesta sedan will be available across Asia and North America starting from 2010 with production coming from the company's plants in Thailand and Mexico respectively. The four-sedan will not be sold in Europe.
Ford would like us to believe that the Fiesta Sedan retains the 'emotional appeal' of its five-door sibling and that it features a "new interpretation of the firm's kinetic design language". We find it a bit hard to agree on either - unless emotional means disturbing and kinetic translates to a shape that was conceived by inserting a large vacuum-cleaner behind a Fiesta hatch.
"We set out to design a truly exciting, desirable small car that exceeds all expectations. Today, we are keeping our promise that was made with the Verve Concept notchback last year," said Chelsia Lau, chief designer of China/ASEAN Programs, Ford Motor Company.
Launching the all-new Fiesta sedan to the world in China signals the importance of China and the Asian region in Ford's global strategy, " said John Parker, executive vice president, Asia Pacific and Africa, Ford Motor Company. "This is a sophisticated small car. Design combines with advanced technology to deliver very high levels of refinement, safety and class-leading fuel efficiency. This new Fiesta proves Ford's leadership in small car design and development. "
Ford has yet to reveal any technical details on the Fiesta sedan, but expect to see the same powertrain options as with the hatchback version.
boy that sedan version is a minger...
but the hatch version looks spot on...just need bigger wheels...
Top Gear and Fifth Gear had rave reviews on the Fiesta...dynamically it'll wipe the smile off the Jazz's face.
The small Ford hatchback used in Quantum of Solace is the 2009 Ford Ka.
Its a 3-door City car about the same size as a Kia Picanto.
The all-new Ford Ka is a joint-project between Ford and Fiat, the Ka is based on the new Fiat 500 and is positioned below the new Ford Fiesta.
Whew! I even like the Fiesta more than the Focus for some reason. I hope they bring that Eurocar over here and with TDCi please!
They will bring the Fiesta here pero sa 3rd or 4th quarter of next year pa at galing sya sa Thailand(in sedan and 5 door hatch form)...Malabo ang Ka rito,,

COLOGNE, Germany, March 16, 2009 – "The all-new Fiesta is one of the most stylish cars in the world." That is the verdict of 28 leading designers and design experts from 19 countries who have awarded the eye-catching Ford model a prestigious 'red dot' award for international product design.
The design professionals, who make up the award jury, said the Fiesta's design was "innovative and dynamic".
The red dot design awards are presented annually by Germany's Essen-based Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen, and it's one of the world's largest design recognition programmes.
The independent jury assesses each entry against a series of criteria which includes innovation, design, functionality and quality. For the 2009 award, 3,231 submissions were received from 49 countries. The Fiesta was one of the products to be awarded a red dot for their outstanding design.
The awards, claimed by the organisers to be "an internationally recognised quality label for design excellence" are presented in three categories: product design, communication design and design concept. Within each category there are 17 product areas covering a broad diversity of goods, from sofas to caravans, watches to computers.
Previous automotive winners have included the Maserati Quattroporte, the Mercedes R Class and the Lamborghini Murcielago Roadster.
"We are delighted not only to receive this important award but also by the growing list of accolades given to the new Fiesta," said Martin Smith, Executive Design Director, Ford of Europe. "It is particularly encouraging to see that our new small car was singled out for its innovative, expressive design by some of the world's leading designers."
"Research shows that whether they are in Milan, Beijing or New York, customers put style at the top of their list. The new Fiesta delivers that style, together with outstanding quality."
The red dot design award is the latest in a long line of accolades received by the new Fiesta. Among recent awards, the model was named as Car of the Year 2009 by Britain's What Car? Magazine, while in Germany, readers of Guter Rat and SUPERillu presented the new Fiesta ECOnetic with the Auto der Vernunft 2009 trophy, for value for money, economy and sustainability. Earlier this month, Fiesta was named one of the three finalists in the 2009 World Car Awards – the winner will be announced in New York next month.
The Ford Fiesta has long been synonymous with outstanding design, quality and value. Today's Fiesta takes the model's three-decade heritage to a new level with its eye-catching kinetic design and widely acclaimed driving dynamics.
"Kinetic design's new and successful form language defines the new Fiesta and brings it into the new Ford product family," explains Martin Smith. "It is a language that visualises the leading driving dynamics of Ford cars by delivering bold, confident and individual design."
Global Reach
Underlining the adage that good design is good business, 117,000 Fiestas have been sold in the seven months since the model was launched in Europe in August last year.
And it is not just in Europe that the Fiesta is attracting attention. Designed and developed in Europe as Ford Motor Company's first truly global car, the new small car will be going on sale in markets around the world.
Earlier this month it was officially launched in the Chinese market. Pre-sale demand for the car in China surpassed expectations, with several thousand Chinese consumers placing orders ahead of the official launch. Additionally, more than 1.2 million people downloaded Fiesta music from www.qq.com, a popular Chinese web portal. The Fiesta video has been shown more than 6.8 million times on www.Youku.com, China’s version of YouTube.
China is the world's first market to introduce the four-door Fiesta saloon. Both the saloon and the five-door Fiesta hatchback are built at the state-of-the-art Changan Ford Mazda Automobile Company manufacturing facility in Nanjing.
China will not be the only Asian production location, Ford and Mazda’s joint-venture facility in Thailand, Auto Alliance, will begin assembling the new model next year.
In Europe, the new Fiesta is produced at Ford’s plant in Cologne, Germany, as well as the Valencia plant in Spain. Fiestas built in Cologne are now also being exported to South Africa, Australia and New Zealand.
Ford Motor Company's plant in Cuautitlan, Mexico will build the new Fiesta for the North American market in two bodystyles: a sporty hatchback and a saloon, beginning in early 2010. Construction of the integrated stamping facility and retooling of the assembly plant is currently underway.
In advance of the Fiesta’s launch in the US, thousands of consumers across the country are being given the opportunity to drive the new car. In a programme called “Fiesta Movement,” Ford is selecting up to 100 enthusiasts to drive the Fiesta and relate their experiences through social media sites, providing Ford with early consumer feedback. The 100 models used in the programme were recently assembled in Cologne.
