I finally got to washing my Raptor this afternoon, and it took me over two hours to do it. The trickiest spot to reach are the central portion of the hood near the windshield and the middle of the windshield itself. At least, I got some good exercise.

Also, the engine oil dipstick is located way up near the windshield, and I couldn't easily reach it without standing on something about 6 - 8 inches high. I'm 5' 8" BTW. I guess I need to fabricate a couple of wooden stools to stand on when washing this beast and checking its fluids.

I made the mistake of vigorously scrubbing the stepboard with a sponge. The sponge was worn thin by the rough finish - it acted like a very coarse sand paper. The finish can easily bruise the skin when a bare leg brushes or bumps against it. Luckily, I didn't need to wipe the stepboard dry with a chamois, otherwise my chamois will be a goner. I just blast-rinsed it with a power washer and it dried by itself without leaving soapy streaks.
Haha.. Very True Sir!!! Dapat brush sa stepboard.. [emoji1303][emoji16]

Thank you for the inputs! Points taken. Also, I think the raptor will hold its value more in the long run.

I'm planning to go to ford this oct to reserve the raptor. [emoji16] Ang tanong nalang, pang ilan na kaya ako sa pila. Heheheh

Keep us posted with your updates with your raptor.

    Thanks!

Great choice, good luck sa pila! Sana Ford will keep the introductory price for as long as possible. The deteriorating forex rate and the fact that Raptors are selling as fast as they can ship them in are probably putting a lot of pressure on the introductory price of PHP 1.898M.

Meantime, here's how my car cover looks - it's good for a Wildtrak or a Hilux, but about a foot short on my Raptor. Bitin din yung height by a few inches because of the wider body, while the tie belt that's used to secure the cover is also way too short. I just folded it such that the cabin and hood are fully covered, as these are the sections which are tough to clean.

Isn't the car cover doing more harm than good? ...

The Raptor is in a covered garage, but I stay in a very dusty environment. Just two hours after washing, the accumulated dust is very visible on the black paint, hence the need for a car cover.

Mga sir's ask ko lang how is your experience in owning a Ford?

If ever, this will be my first Ford. All the cars i have owned before and now are all japanese.

The stories i have heard kase about ford are not so positive.Even my collegues are warning me in buying a ford.

Whether its the availability of spare parts or the cars reliability. Japanese cars daw are more realiable and in tuned with the Philippine roads and environment.
