According to the Ranger's brochure, models from XLS and below still use the Gen3 2.2L engine, I believe ito ang maraming problems sa turbo? Or resolved na din ito?

a friend of mine sold his 2012 xlt 2.5 liter ranger and bought new 2.2 ranger said that the former is much more powerful compare to the new one. Anyone can attest to this? [emoji47]

Nope. I had the 2013 2.2 XLT (148 hp) and I switched with my friend's 2011 2.5 XLT (143 hp) for a road trip once. The 2.5 has less turbo lag but once boost kicks in, the newer 2.2 is slightly quicker. The facelifted Ranger with 160 hp has less turbo lag so you can expect even better performance.

Baka naman below 1700 rpm siya magdrive, no boost talaga yan. [emoji23]

    I have both 2008 and 2016 everest. 2.5 & 2.2, both have topspeed/speed limiter at 185kph. Tire speed rating is 190kph(T)

2.5 is very laggy primarily because of the tune, vacuum type VGT system, and the crappy 5speed TCM logic. FC is 8-9km/L

The 2.2 is very responsive and a good match to the 6sp. Auto. I also get average 10-11km/L FC.

^^You can always tune and mod the engine naman and change tires, etc... Question na lang is how deep is your pocket.

    Salamat sa sasagot
Wala talaga, wildtrak lang meron. Just buy it na lang it helps improve NVH.

Another thing na wala si XLS and XLT vs. Wildtrak are the acoustic windshield glass. Di yan indicated sa brochure or website pero if your a car geek, youll love it. Pero if ordinary juan dela cruz buyer, ala lang yan. LOL.

I would find it hard to believe na masmabagal siya than the older versions.

I used to have a 2005 Ford Ranger Hurricane and a 2011 Ford Everest din both 4x2 both manual. Now I am looking at the XLS lang since yun 4x4 habol ko and don't want to spend more for blings.

Nice to know resolved na, I'm just after the XLS with 4x4, instead of the higher trims na 4x2.
Still trying to decide really, I'm also looking at the Navara. Not going to haul heavy loads but would like to have 4x4 handy for how I expect to use the vehicle.

Hi everyone, I am planning on buying a Ford Ranger FX4 A/T this month. Okay sana ang Wildtrak but my budget is pang FX4 lang. Also SA told me that FX4 models now are SYNC 3 na. Don't know if true but yung nakikita ko kasi is SYNC 1 palang eh. Also okay naman ba riding comfort ni Ranger? Thank you!

Welcome back carwhacko,- long time no hear.... Hoping that life is treating you and your loved ones well...

Planning to buy a Ranger or a HiLux probably in a year's time... Or earlier if the itch becomes unbearable..

Appreciate you sharing your experience with the Ranger....

Naging busy maging call center agent at nag negosyo.

Ranger or Hilux? Yung conquest nila pricey na for my budget. Kaya swak na ako sa FX4.

Been lurking around in this thread for a while and have yet to read any feedback about the 2018 Ford Ranger XLS 4x2 MT, is this worth getting? Is the dashboard still the same as the pre-facelift ranger? I am planning to get one soon...

Mge sir, I have one question. Open or LSD?
