    looks like its really adapting to your driving style and the ecu reset just flushed out the memory but will eventually level out.

    didnt do the ecu reset yet but i get shifting at 2-2.5k also since ive been using it with a light foot. im on my 2nd full tank now and the trip computer is now saying 10.5 l/100km... half tank still. trip computer when i topped it off the first time was at 12.5 l/100km though manual computation gave me 8.66 km/l. looks like its getting better for me.

    guys, paano ba magreset ng ecu? ano ba mangyayari kapag nireset?

    By disconnecting the battery you reset the ECU. Somehow it helps the tranny shift shorter and smoother... So far it works for me, other say its just a band-aid solution...

    if you do the reset... im sure it will make it shift faster and smoother like how the others who did it experienced. although kung mabigaat paa mo... and thats how you really drive... then it will relearn to shift slowly and rev higher like before.

    with my research... malamang ganyan mangyayari thus the band aid solution.

    Even before the reset I was light footed... But before ayaw mag shift agad so inipilt nyang paabutin sa 3000RPM before it shifts now 2000RPM na lang payag na sya!

    Sa 20,000km tayo nagpapalit. The Fiesta has a 10,000km PMS interval pero for sure fully synthetic yan it costs around P600/L (taga na nga yan eh pag binili sa labas a fully synthetic oil can be bought for P500/L) roughly so 4 liters P2400. Siguro oil filter mga P500 and then labor around P1000... Wala ng kailangan palitan besides that on a one year old car; they might push you to change air filter etc, BS yun its not necessary sa 2 years na yun... Linisin na lang nila yung air filter... Likewise they might push you to change the brake fluid laos maskin 2 years na yan... Yung coolant dapat libre na yun! Kasi dagdag lang naman normally yan eh... So pano aaabot ng P8000 aber? Yan sagutin mo sa kanya...

    Sorry maybe they can fool newbies pero di nila ako maloloko in fact sa Ford QA din ako kumuha inalukan din ako nyan pero I declined immediately... Di na nila ako try sales talk kasi alam nila medyo knowledgeable ako sa cars kasi I was inspecting the unit to be released and asked technical questions that even the SA can't answer...
    hindi ba change oil every 10k OR 6 months? just checked the warranty card and thats what it says. so if you just traveled 1 kilometer in 6 months change oil ka pa rin?

    is this really strict? i mean for ford to honor the 3 year warranty? its my first new car thats why im asking. my old beater... change oil lang every year or pag may problem like kulang na or may leak.

    Typically that's what car makers do X kilometers or X amount of time whichever comes first... Sa Toyota nga 5000km or 3 mos whichever comes first so mas magastos... I just do X kilometers... Would they void the warranty? Maybe! But I don't mind much...

    change oil every 3 months? WOW! maybe ill just skip a few months and do 8 months instead of 6 until my warranty expires.

    Well if you follow the Toyota warranty booklet by the book yeah change every 3 mos.

    I own a Yaris and I follow the 5000km and in the Fiesta I intend to follow the 10,000km although I will monitor it closely and I might do it earlier if required... (oil leve low already, air filter dirty already, coolant is nearing MIN etc.)

    imo, mas ayos kung susunod ka nalang sa warranty booklet sked na by 10k km. yung buwanan kasi na sked parang aksaya lang lalo na kung deyn naman sya daily driver at meron ka naman alternate car. yun lang sa tingin ko ang okay. para ito sa oto at sa bulsa narin!

    Tanong ko lang kung normal para sa MT. Nung nasa traffic ako, nag shift ako sa gear 1, then nung nag start ako from stop, palagi namamatay yon makina everytime irerelease ko clutch. Parang kahit press ko gas, bumababa pa rin RPM pag nirerelease ko clutch. Pero usually kagat na yon, kasi kahit nga ala gas umaadar naman fiesta pag dahan dahan release ng clutch.

    Then sinubukan ko ulit i-neutral tapos binalik ko sa gear 1 ulit. Naayos naman. Ano kaya yon? may chance na di maayos pagkakashift ko sa gear 1?

    Hindi normal yan. I also have an MT. Possible one of the ff:
    1. Shifted to 3rd gear by mistake
    2. Poor fuel quality at that moment
    3. Road has some incline or irregularity that Fiesta is having difficulty with
    4. Handbreak is engaged

    Obserbahan mo pa. Kung may problema, under warranty pa naman yan.

    baka nga naka-3rd gear ako. yon incline slightly naka-downhill. umaandar naman ako, pero medyo mabigat press sa gas. tapos di ko marelease completely yon clutch kasi bumabagsak rpm.
