    Does it taste like dashi stock? We used to buy kombu from Japanese groceries before. Ang bilis lang amagin kahit may dehumidifier

    Yes, I think that's what it's really called, dashi.

    dashi is the generic umbrella name.
    hondashi is a brand name thereof.
