I can't sleep. Every time I close my eyes, I would see his face and would recall how his last moments would have been. Dr Cutie made such an impact in my life. During my covid scare, he kept me sane with constant reassurance that I will be okay. He was such a kind soul and well loved by so many. A true leader that everyone looked up to. I hope this is not real. My heart hurts so much.

The problem with most people who can’t sleep at night is that they think or worry too much. When you have your mind flooded with thoughts, it becomes restless.

Just close your eyes, relax your breathing, and empty your thoughts. He has passed away and there’s nothing more you can do about it.

I haven't grieved this much for a person since my maternal Lola passed away in 2006. I've had relatives go in between and now like my favorite Uncle in 2018 but none I have grieved as much as Dr Cutie. I love him, I don't know in what way but I just know I feel strongly for him and losing him broke my heart in a million pieces. He changed my life kasi, I used to live in constant fear that I might lose my second Mom anytime but he cured her. I know there are a lot of doctors but none as kind AND good as him. I am also grieving the fact that we are losing the people we could count on. I didn't expect him to follow Dr APS in less than 6 months! Tapos pag naalala ko how he helped me manage my anxiety during my covid scare, I can't help but cry. My second Mom is supposed to have her annual lab works this year, pano na yan, wala na si Dr CUtie. Sobrang sakit talaga. Bakit naman lahat ng tao I look up to and makes me feel protected and secure nawawala. I wanna go to his wake but my MOm does not want to kasi I have a Tita from NY and IL whose whole family got covid from a wake.

He is too young, I can't understand why. Dami masasamang tao pero buhay pa. He had so much talent and kindness to share to mankind. My heart breaks for his family as well. I don't know how they are supposed to move on losing someone with a heart of gold. I see messages na best boss, best classmate, best doctor. He really was the best in everything.

Kanina nagdadasal ako please let this be a dream lang, it feels so surreal

I guess I just molded my thought process in a different way. I do feel sad sometimes but I just keep on grinding. Just keep telling myself, “f*ck it, move on”.

I do think about my best approach to my challenges but when I’m awake. When I go to bed, I just close my eyes and shut down. The next time I open my eyes I’m already awake.

At a young age, I have seen death up close and it can be sudden (Davao was like a warzone in the 80s). More than 20 years ago, I have seen one young promising teenager lose his life over for the path he wanted to pursue. I saw the sad faces of the parents of the kid during the wake and it struck me deep. From there on, I told myself that life is too short to dwell on the what-if’s and maybes. Just keep grinding, work towards your goal, and enjoy the company of the people around you.

Plenty of quotes about worry being a waste of time, the best i like is " worry is like paying a debt you never owed". However, i am still a worrier

    re. worry.
    some quotes.

my favorite is, "worry is the price we pay for not preparing".
    it goes well with,
worry accomplishes nothing except sap you of energy, and
worry gives small things, very large shadows.

there is a difference between worry and concern.
    one sees the problem.
    the other solves the problem.

Appreciating a loved one's time with us in life is equally important as mourning their loss. If I feel like I haven't done enough for the person while he/she was still alive, I just try to pay the influence he/she had on me forward to his family and close friends. Remembering the good times spent with them somehow takes the sting off.
