We have relatives and friends, married before, now separated but not legally/divorce. Marriage does not guarantee a good lasting relationship. Staying together is a mutual choice.

Sometimes in can pose problem pa pag nag hiwalay.

I know someone who is now separated to his husband dahil babaero, naka buntis na ng iba. The ex husband doesn't live them anymore but she and her son is living in a house owned by the parents of ex husband.

She now wants to buy a house and lot so she can move out of the husband's parent's house. Pero she can't because what ever she buy would be conjugal.

Some are advising her na to make the separation legal, some advising her name the property to her mother, some advising her to name the property to her kid (which would be on legal age after 5 years of payment).
