Or run it like you stole it?

Frequent redline visits (and long high rpm/speed drives) lead to a bit of oil being consumed.

    BTT:

Synthetics have very good detergent qualities, hence the sparkling engine internals.

    i drive like a nanny..lol..i think sa longdrive ko 110-120kph 3hrs nonstop

    Yup, that would be it.

Half of the dipstick should equate to around half a liter, give or take a few swigs.

Which is normal oil consumption, given the circumstances ... IMHO.

    *ozcity,

You're averaging around 19,000-20,000 KM a year. That makes your car fit right smack in the middle of Honda's prescribed PMS interval (6 mos. or 10,000km).

Wow. Ang lilinis naman ng makina. Regular oil change lang ba ang key o may iba pang factor?

Question lang po. Do I really need to change oil kahit wala pa sa km interval nya? Let's say na 3 mos na yung oil, good for 5,000 kms pero nasa mga 2,500 kms pa lang siya. Mas maganda ba magpalit na lang din ng oil? TIA

Depends on the oil you're putting in. From what I know fully synthetic is more forgiving in terms of intervals. If you just use the regular ones or the semi-synthetic, better follow the interval recommendations.

Ako personally, once a year lang with fully synthetic, usually pasok naman sa 10,000km. Mostly short city drives with Metro Manila traffic, then I do "weekend warrior" runs on most weekends sa SLEX or NLEX, usually 100km/h, on a 100km average total distance.

merong catch phrase yan.... "5,000 kms or three months, whatever goes first." so personally, i would still change.
changing oil is cheaper than having to suffer from sludges and may need overhaul.
    been there.... done that.....

Why changing oil at the prescribed interval is crucial
