Remote bypass oil filtration

Gurus, I have a question regarding Baldwin B178 and B199. Same naman sila ng diameter and length but according also to the Baldwin website "Baldwin Filters E-Catalog"

8 PSID By-Pass Valve

The one I'm using now on our Vios 1.3 (BT223) is 8 PSID By-Pass Valve

What does the 8 or 30 PSID mean? May masamang effect ba sa engine if I used a lower number (8) than a higher one (30) and vice versa? Planning to use either B178 or B199 on the next oil change of my dad's Civic EK (PH15A engine). I checked the location of the oil filter (real quite hard to see, but I think it has a lot of space to cater to a longer oil filter). Thanks.

Gusto ko sana ng longer version ng filter hehe mas matagal ba ng konti ang OCI kapag longer filter? Particularly for the Civic sana kasi luma na yun kaya gusto ko lagyan ng Baldwin.

for the PH15 or PH16 engine I think Masyado malaki outer diameter ng B166. Kung B16, D16 engine yun, kasya pa dun.

Given than filter positioning, you can use any m20X1.5 thread oil filter as long as the outer diameter does not exceed 3.05 inches.
sa length, looking at the picture, you can easily fit a 4 to 5 inches filter here.

Re: PSID, usually for after market filters mas mataas yung PSID setting nya over stock ones. eto lang yung setting na the filter will go on bypass once barado na sya. its very unlikely though na mababara mo yung baldwin or fleetguard or any fleet service filter as it has 4 times dirt holding capacity than oem but if you do, then at certain PSID depende dun sa setting nung nabili mo it will go on bypass... to prevent the engine from oil starvation.

1 a 14, 20 or even 30 PSID setting is not so uncommon and perfectly safe to use with our engines.

Malayo pa yung filter na yan to the ground so kahit lowered ka pa hindi sasayad yung filter sa ground.
