Well I had got some new old stock of the LF3564 filters picked up 17 of them, I took the plastic off this one to take pics. I did notice it had no country of origin on it so I called Fleetguard and gave them the Julian date code and manufacture code on the top of the filter. They were made in France. So I'm cool with that.

Let me start of by saying the one they sell in the Philippines is a shamefully cheap clone. When I picked up the filter I was shocked by the weight of it. But when I looked inside I was further shocked. I had called earlier this week to get the efficiency rating of the filter and when they said 95% * 5 microns I was suspicious because that's the same as the venturi bypass filters they have now.

Well when I looked inside guess what, They are stacked disk just like the ones on my bypass set up. It's basically the first version of the Venturi bypass filters. They just use microglass for the full flow side vs Stratapore media. It looks nothing like what they are trying to pawn off as the real deal. The filter media on the inside clearly shows triple the amount of pleats on the inside of the filter.

These are 15000klm filter minimum. They have 2 times the dirt holding capacity of the BD28 They are not built anything like what the Singapore rep sent me.

Here's there pathetic locally sold version which I would not even waste money on, I would stick with the BD28.

This is the real version. And it goes to show you if you store filters in climate control conditions they will last basically forever.

Note the stacked disk media.

Now this is what it would look like if you cut it open. This is what my LF9028 filter looks like which I use as my Bypass filter which is 98% efficient at 5 microns. (They are freaking expensive)

This LF3564 is also physically bigger than BD28. So it just goes to show you the Made for Asia stuff that come from Malaysia are not even close to the same quality filter.
