check the records kung na overhaul na wag na kasi usually ang engine pag nag overhaul baka di marunong ang gumawa. We sold our sentra 1988 model last July of 2007 and mileage is 187k walang problema naman daw sabi ng second owner never been overhauled and well maintained un

May dad gave me his toyota corolla 1994 gli, reads 390,000kms+++(lagi nya kc gamit nun dahil sa nature ng work nya)...well maintained.. regular change oil, tune up, air filter replacement ... engine is still going strong wala pa din usok at hindi pa overhauled. Nagpapalit lang kami one time ng o-ring sa distributor kc may konting leak sa part na yun

I think for old cars, major thing to worry about are the electrical components like the ignition coil, grounding system, corroded terminals, etc., so you have to check them more frequent and replace if necessary.

Pahabol: choose the right oil din for old cars.. meron posting dito.. very helpful.. for sure.. high mileage vs engine condition would not be a criteria
