Overheat. ano possible ma-damage?

Nag overheat sasakyan ng cousin ko, hindi niya napansin na umiinit na pala temperature sa gauge niya. Cause is nasira yung right aux. fan. But, napaandar niya naman ulit, 1 week na nakakalipas, ok pa rin naman takbo.
ano po possible magkaroon ng damage sa engine pag nag-overheat sasakyan??

AFAIK most likely na madamage ang cylinder head gasket,maganda diyan pacheck-up agad sa makaniko to make sure

sir, iisa lang po ba ang cylinder head gasket at valve cover gasket?? How much po ang cylinder head gasket??

most good running engines are able to stand momentary over heat as long as it is not frequent and not prolonged. just as long as you don't quench an engine with high fever, it usually does okay. just leave it to cool down on its own at current ambient temperature. do not open the radiator cap and do not add water to a hot engine. if the engine oil is emulsifying(vanilla shake evidenced on the oil filler cap) or the antifreeze/coolant have traces of oil, your engine is a candidate for at the very least-engine top overhaul, you might as well (MAW) replace the valve stem seals, valve cover gasket, spark plug tube seals, all come with a valve grind gasket set. if it is running okay, just have a gasket set on standby

But, napaandar niya naman ulit, 1 week na nakakalipas, ok pa rin naman takbo. Shempre, tataas ang coolant temp pag hindi gumana ang aux fan. But damage to the engine depends on the degree of overheat. Kung hindi naubusan ng tubig or coolant, good sign ito, and malaki ang possibility na walang engine damage. Normal water will boil (expand and convert to steam) at 100 deg C or 212 deg F at sea level, and slightly higher pag may coolant additive. Kung nakita nyong may tubig ang radiator during the "overheat" condition, it just means na tumaas lang ang temp, pero hindi pa ito umabot ng 100 deg C, at hindi ito nag overheat.

Pag sandali lang naman ok pa un, observe nyo muna, pag hindi nababawasan ang coolant, swerte cousin mo, di nadamage, pero kung nagbabawas na, malamang cylinder head gasket ang naging problema or worst warped cylinder head.

Kaya po nag overheat is , nasira yung right aux. fan niya. Pagbukas daw po niya ng hood noong nasa house na siya, bumigay yung hose ng radiotor connecting ata sa engine. As in tanggal daw po hose.. Pero, 2 weeks na nakakalipas, ok pa naman daw po takbo ng sasakyan niya. Wala pa siya pinapalitan or ginagalaw sa engine. Observe lang niya everyday oil dipstick, pero ok pa naman

Q : Ano po ang coolant?? Saan po ito makikita??
Matagal na po parang kulay brownish yung oil nya. Last June lang po siya nag pa change oil.
Kung valce cover gasket lang po palitan muna, ok lang ba??
