    Hi Guys,

My beloved Nissan Exalta SLA 2000 Model got submerged sa baha (lagpas bubong) in our basement parking after bagyong ondoy. Malakas ang electricity and fuel injection is okay. Para siyang nagchochoke or nahihirapan.

Maraming salamat! Please I need you help.

Are you sure the engine ECU is fine? It might be running on "limp" mode. It would explain the lack of power.

Or the air flow sensor is busted/defective. Assuming the engine can idle using default settings but cannot run at higher revs due to improper signals from the air flow sensor.

You can have it brought to Speedlab and let them use their diagnostic computer check your car's ECU for error codes, etc.

    Website and contact info: http://www.speedlab.com.ph/

We tried to replace the airflow system with a surplus one. But still, same thing happened. We are trying to find another replacement airflow sensor again, it might be the surplus one is also busted. About the "limp" mode thing, how will you find out if it's in the said mode? do you have any other advice for the cause of the problem?

Thank you so much for your help.

I assume ECU and computer box are the same. We already had it checked and scanned. Everything is normal according to the readings. Hopefully, the airflow system sensor is the problem. We have no other ideas for the cause of the engine problem.

Thank you again for the help.

Parang naka-limp mode nga yung takbo, pero pag limp mode the check engine

Nagalaw ba yung timing during the process, some mechanics are too lazy to remove all the timing cover for proper timing belt reinstallation.

Di naman ba palyado yung idle, pag-on ng aircon do the spark advance mechanism work.

you may also want to include the throttle position sensor, the maf sensor, crank and cam position sensor, also the advance mechanism of your ignition system.plus the connectors of your wiring harness.

    Thank you sa response Sir.

Hindi umilaw ang check engine light. So most probably hindi siya nakalimp mode.

About the detailed check list, all process na for submerged car repairs nagawa na. ok na ang start ng engine. The problem is when magrerev ka, para siyang nachochoke. We are definitely hoping na sa airflow system ang problem. Busted/defective sensor. Naghahanap pa kami ngayon ng replacement (surplus/2nd hand). Do you know how much aabutin to?

Nagalaw yung timing process.
