nakaidle then engine died down and won start anymore

mga sir,

just need your advice po,yesterday po kasi i made a quick stop near to pump some air to my ride(galant 7G) i left it idling then when i got on the wheel,the engine suddenly died down , i tried to restart but the engine starter just cranks or "redondo" lang po , it can not start.parang ayaw tumuloy prang kapos sya sa juice ng battery.

i tried po several things since di naman ko ganun kalalim know how sa makina.
1.tried to swap with battery from a jeep (2 batteries from the jeep) = ayaw same cond
2. tried to tulak start ,tried several times = aya ,same cond

in the end po ,pinahatak na lang namin sa jeep na hinraman namin ng batt

yun fuel filter po kasi napalitan na dati 6 mos. ago, spark plug ganun din 6 mos. ago(before stock plugs sya pinalitan ko ng platinum tip) gasoline is nasa 1/4 pa ng gauge, before po pala nun me narinig ako na whirring sound na sumasabay sa idle ng makina pero before wala yun e.

medyo di kasi masyado nagagamit tong ride namin minsan 2 months nakagarahe lng sya!tpos gamit sya ng 1 week tpos garahe uli.

any inputs po sir kung anu prob ng ride namin?

before po pala nun me narinig ako na whirring sound na sumasabay sa idle ng makina pero before wala yun e.

this might be the power steering pump but i think not connected sa hindi pag-start.

kung EFI yan, pag niligay mo ba sa ignition ang susi nadidinig mo na gumagana ang fuel pump?

i think it has something to do with your fuel pump. since it can die down on you suddenly.

engine po is 4G63 EFI po sya.Manual Trans po sir

paano po ba matsek if fuel pump sya?saan po ba located yung fuel pump ng galant?if naka ON po b yung susi then maririnig mo yung whine not during start position ng susi?

how to check po if fuel pump is defective?using a VOM/multimeter?any procedure?

any idea po magkano to ?recommended po ba surplus dito ?or me replacement din ba to?any good brand na maganda?

salamat po sa mga info sir ,sakit na ulo ko kaiisip hehehe gastos na naman to .

i dont know with the galant, but normally, fuel pumps are located at the back of the car. usually, if it is working, you will hear it move if the car switch is at on, because it pumps fuel na from the tank to the fuel system which you need during car starts.

i do not recommend surplus. it may conk out too prematurely. mapapagastos ka pa ng doble.

it's probably a fuel pump problem, I also own a 7G galant at nangyari na din sa akin yan...I had it check with a mechanic, he checked muna kung may kuryente pumapasok sa makina then chineck nya yung fuel line and found out na di na umaakyat yung gas papuntang makina.

yung fuel pump ng galant is located underneath the backseat... hindi ko maalala kung magkano na yun.... more or less nasa 2K, replacement pa ata nakuha ko nun.

best way is have it check with a trusted mechanic bago baklasin yung pump, medyo mahirap din kasi baklasin yung part na yan.

pwede po ba na tsek ko yung supply line ng gas dun line going into the fuel filter para malaman kung nagsusupply pa ng gas yung pump.?

bale po pag on ko ng susi dapat di ba lalabas yun gas dun sa line papunta sa filter kung ok pa yung pump.?

more or less pump siguro sira ng ride ko kasi ok naman takbo nya before e

kaso baka next month pa matsetsek yun hehehe
