I used Amsoil a few years back. They make good oil. I rate them higher than RP, definitely a lot better than Mobil 1. Still below Motul. But I never put their claims of outrageous extended oil change intervals to the test. Being sold via MLM was also a huge turn off. I just couldn't say no to a US based relative.

25000miles. That is just too much lol. Even if the TBN is 13.5, Acid probably caused the sludging.

but mlm selling.. man that's screwed...

bihira amsoil sa pinas, boutique oils hardly go on-sale. madami mobil1 kasi they have huge discounts after theyve been on shelves too long.

Yes bro. Sayang yung quality. From my butt dyno Amsoil is maybe the 2nd/3rd best oil I've tried. Unfortunately the way they market and sell it, seems they want to imply it is the best out there. Claims of extended OCI are just too much lol.

Does this mean that Motul is a good oil, sir?
There's a Motul shop near my place. And if it's a good oil, I'll be having my next PMS there.
Just reached 100k kms so I'm considering outside casa services.
    Thanks!

Tried Amsoil SS 5W-30 for the company car - a 2013 Toyota Camry

Initially started using when the car was at 60k KMs. Every 10k KMs oil change interval. Using the same oil. Para na rin accurate pag nag pina UOA ko plus masubukan ko through both summer and winter times.

Then had the oil analysed after the 110k mark. 12k KMs after running since last oil change nun sasakyan. Month of July here sa Saudi Arabia is summer time with ambient temps reaching 50 degrees Celsius plus humidity levels to the max sa eastern region. Driving is not through regular route. Mixed city and highway plus long distance non-stop highway (500KMs) max at 120KPH with short bursts upto 200KPH.

Where in Manila can we buy this? FS for the price of mineral oil, that's a bargain, mas mura pa sa idemitsu 5w30 mineral oil na nabili ko.

Mineral , semi synthetic or fully synthetic?
