Depende sa oil filter. Some take 500ml. And pag change oil filter, the filter must be primed or filled with oil to prevent oil pump damage.

thanks for the replies, bought a 2nd hand unit, 3.0 d4d. it had been loaded with synthetic oil. I'm thinking of going back to mineral because the synthetic costs triple compared to mineral. Don't know if there is any advantage of having the oil changed at 10k kms with synthetic vs 5k kms with mineral. Am thinking dudumi lalo pag pinatagal? not too car savvy.

either way it should be ok. next oil change go back to 5w40 or 5w30. daming mura sa mobil1 sa olx.

Lots of 500/liter oils sa olx ph

Since 1gallon its likely a compact car, then a 5w30 is a universal viscosity that I would prefer.

Shell Ultra(Pure Plus) 5w30 5w40 or
Castrol Edge 0w40 ( titanium fst)
Mobil1 EP 5w30 or Mobil1 0w40.

On a different note its normal practice to change oil at 10,000 km intervals when using synthetics right? instead of the 5,000km with minerals. Would it be beneficial to change just the oil filter at the 5,000 mark with synthetics or is it just a waste of money? I use a diesel vehicle.

Ingat kayo sa mga benta engine oil na magsabi 20,000kms in one year oil change. Hindi tayo america na interstate driving na walang traffic. Hindi tayo germany autobahn. Stop and go traffic and occasional crusing speed dito pinas. 10,000kms na safe threshold ng oil change.

Mga royal purple seller naghype ng 20,000kms in one year oil change. Wag magpabola sa idiot marketing

AFAIK, oil filter change is required at every 5,000kms whether you use mineral or synthetic.
If it is not required, then by all means make it a requirement. Mura lang oil filter. Even the good ones won't cost you more than Php500.

+1 i agree totally. Lifeline nang engine natin po ang oil. This is what i do 5k change oil either mineral or FS or 4months.
