So not too early not too late ang palit ng oil.

Dexos 2 pwede either gasoline or diesel engine.

Pag rated ci-4 eh long drain interval yan so pwede mo paabutin 10,000kms.

Mura lang namin nakukuha by the drum kaya around 7,500kms pinapalitan na kahit pwede patagalin.

Anyone tried using 0w-20 oil in their cars? Particularly Honda. Currently using Idemitsu Extreme Eco 5w-30.

Thank you sir sa reply will look for this sir. [emoji4]

Wag 15w40 or 20w50 lapot nun gagaspang takbo.

Sa Honda yan recommended nila. Checked my Sonata 2012 and ganyan din recommended as per manual pero hindi sa Casa. 5w30 na lang para sure.

I always thought that oil never expires until i read this. So I checked my leftover containers. Honda SS oil has 2014 printed on it, no indication if it is manufacturing or best before date. However it did feel good on my engine. The other one was Mag1 FS, unfortunately the printed numbers were almost worn out so can't get anything from there. it's currently on my engine for 1k kms now and it feels a bit rough compared to the Honda. Both are SN rated.

I've tried several times using expired FS oil 3 years from the mfgt date. so far nothing bad happened to the engine. What's the effect of using expired oil to engine?? TIA

Used the Honda 0w20 "Green" oil with our City and Jazz (2009) and they worked just fine. Warm-up time is faster compared to the older Vtec LEV 5w40 oil. Mahirap i-source sa labas pero mayrun mapagkunan. I might even consider using it on my Fiesta Ecoboost if I'm out of warranty already.

20 is better than 30, new engines have tight clearance hence it wont need a thick layer of oil for protection. A thin layer will do

In addition thin oil spread out much faster than thicker oil providing more protection to the engine components

Try lifting the oil stick & invert it for you to visualize how swift the oil spread & cover the metal part of the stick

Sa year 2012 model-present like the new jazz, city, mobilio, hrv, crv try nyo.

Viscosity is the measure of how thick an oil is. This is the most important property for an engine. An oil with too low a viscosity can shear and loose film strength at high temperatures. An oil with too high a viscosity may not pump to the proper parts at low temperatures and the film may tear at high rpm.

The viscosity of liquids decreases as temperature increases. The viscosity of a lubricant is closely related to its ability to reduce friction. Generally, the least viscous lubricant which still forces the two moving surfaces apart is desired. If the lubricant is too viscous, it will require a large amount of energy to move (as in honey); if it is too thin, the surfaces will come in contact and friction will increase.

Nabasa ko rin somewhere na yung Mobil 1 na 0w-40 ay one of the best oils dahil manipis/magaan sya sa startup at okay din kapag operating temp na dahil 40 weight sya. Kumbaga you get the best of both worlds.

Mineral , semi synthetic or fully synthetic?
