Yup, some Japanese brands also use C3 suffix, while others use different letters. But the brands you mentioned uses C3 suffix.

July 2nd, 2004 01:20 AM #12I checked the replaced bearing ... 6203LU. I'll have to DIY the replacement come the time, with a -C3. Thanks for all the help.

6203 LU, that's NTN designation for 6203-RS1/ QE6, single sided rubber shield. QE6 is standard electronic motor quality, quiet running. :D

July 5th, 2004 02:10 PM #14Done changing it. Learned another thing too ... i need to loosen the nut holding the pulley before i could adjust the tension bolt. Btw, the replacement bearing used by the case was also a -C3 ... not bad, it lasted 3 years.

What do you mean which side?
Open side bearing should always be placed inside, while the covered side is on exterior to protect from dust ang other particles.
