Idle RPM abnormal drop

Hello mga sir! I would like to seek for your expert advise regarding on my problem I've experience on my Nissan GSX and I'm just in car. As I start the engine, the idle rpm abnormally drops down near zero then after approximately 3 secs it goes up to its normal idle rpm of 650 and I already encountered this twice. Ano kaya problema nito? Actually, I'm planning to bring it to the CASA since under warranty pa naman ito. Gusto ko lang po sana pagpunta ko doon alam ko na po ang sasabihin ko. TIA!

If still in warranty it is your best interest to bring the car to dealer to fix that problem.

Under warranty pa po pala, so eto po sabihin mo:

could be the servo or a dirty throttle. shouldn't be that hard to fix on a relatively new car.

pa check mo yug air cleaner mo ... or baka may hose lang natangal sa may throttle

Is the engine cold or warm?

it has to be checked by the tech , pero you can ask the dealership to get it scanned for any codes or to perform some basic tests.

i.e.smoke test for any vacuum leaks or a throttle body cleaning maybe.

just saw this thread. i had the same problem with my Sentra as yours after i had my headlights changed to XP sa Petron. I don't know if meron sila nagalaw or something, but the idle RPM dropped from 850 to 400 with A/C, 300 if walang load.

brought it to NGO- Libis, kinabitan lang ng Consult II, then dun in-adjust yung idle RPM back to 850. ayos na ulet.. la pang 10mins.

SA Remo ang nag-assist sa ken. Hope yours get fixed as well.

Dinala ko rin yung auto sa NWA ginamitan din ng consult II tapos nag-idle air volume learn. Ok na siya ngayon.

Any idea what made it drop kaya? clueless kasi kami nung SA pati ung Tech what could've caused it.

The idle-learn procedure needs to be performed when any of the following is done to the car:

1. The ECM was replaced, reset or updated
2. The car battery was disconnected for a length of time causing the ECM to reset
3. Throttle body was serviced (cleaned or replaced)

Any of these conditions could erase the stored idle parameters from memory.

then yun nga nangyare.. when the battery was taken out to change the headlights, that must have triggered the reset. kaso wala pa namang mga 15mins cia disconnected e.

Hello po mga sirs, alam ko po sobrang tagal na tong thread na to, I can't find the button to create new thread that the topic is similar to this. But anyway I find it non-sense kung gagawa pa ko ng new thread that discuss the same thing that you discussed here.

Okay, sorry for the introduction. Mag-coconsult lang po sana ako mga sirs, my car is also experiencing the same problem that relates to the RPM. Kapag ini-start ko po yung sasakyan ko mainit man ang panahon o hindi, kelangan ko pang alalayan ng gas para hindi bumagsak yung RPM. And then after a little while, pag binuksan ko na yung aircon papalo na sya ng 800 which I think is normal pero pag-pinatay ko na yung aircon ko, bababa sya ng 400-300 and then later on babagsak na sya at mamamatay na makina ko. taas baba ang RPM ko hanggang sa sumadsad sa 0. Tapos minsan ang isa pang scenario kapag nag-mamaniobra ako, namamatay yung makina ko dahil sa power steering. ano po kaya ang problema? nissan sentra 98 super saloon po yung kotse ko. pinalinis ko na din yung servo at throttle medyo umokey naman kasi dati kahit bukas ang aircon ko bumabagsak pa din RPM ko ngayon hindi na basta nakabukas ang aircon.

Sana po matulungan nyo ko mga sirs wala pa din kasi akong masyadong alam pagdating sa sasakyan.
