January 26th, 2010 09:12 PM #21dinala ko kanina sa car repair dahil dalawang beses namatayan sa daan at hirap din magstart. chineck nila ang fuel pressure at malakas naman ang sirit ng gas. pinacheck ko sa electrician sabi niya maluwang yung connection sa computer box. sinecure niya at umuwi na kami. under observation as of now.

January 27th, 2010 09:15 PM #22The mechanic today theorized that it may be the coil or the pump. He checked the coil and found it was ok. Then he tried to replace the old fuel pump with a spare one, did a test run and bingo! Ok na ang drivability. Fuel pump nga ang problem. Wala ng hiccups on my way home, smoother acceleration specially when up shifting, noticeably more torque even at higher gear and better throttle response. I bought a surplus pump for 1200 and labor 500, (tank had to be lowered for access of pump for this model) then nagawa rin yun fuel sending unit na corroded ang connection. Case solved finally!
Thanks tsikoteers!

January 31st, 2010 04:12 PM #25I just want to share the definition and function of the relay in a vehicle. The relay is an electrical device that opens or closes a circuit or circuits in response to a voltage signal. Now, why are we using relays in our vehicles?
The contacts of the relays are large enough to carry high or sufficient load current. Notice the common vehicle relays that are used, like the bosch. There is a mark 30 amps. Meaning it's contact can carry as large as 30 amps load current compared to the common or ordinary contacts of a vehicle switch. That's why we are using a relay in a vehicles. Now what the ordinary switch does is just to open and closed the relay coil who has a small amount of load current which will not burned out the contact of said switch.
Furthermore, the relay NEVER LOWER the current in your vehicle WIRES. If these relays lower the current passing through the vehicle wires, there will be voltage drop in your vehicle electrical system and any device connected therein will not function or operate normally.
Kindly refer to the internet how are the LOAD, SWITCH & VEHICLE RELAYS are connected to fully understand the above.
