kung mag change gear ako tapos tatapakan ko yung RPM, biglang may lalabas na Black smoke. May connection ba sa nozzle Tip or the injection pump ang black smoke.

October 26th, 2005 12:24 PM #12I commend you for this noble effort docdiesel.
I had a 2.6 reading during the last emission testing and a 6-7 km/liter fuel consumption for purely city driving. My ride is a 95 2.5 TDIC with 87K in the odometer. Do you think I need calibration of my pump or injector tips lang ang kailangan i-check. Maraming salamat at huwag sana kayo magsawa sa pagtulong sa kapwa.

i too like this thread. in addition to the questions above, when do you really need to have your ride calibrated? my troop although less than 3 years with 20k mileage exhaust black smokes specially if you need more speed. kakahiya. but i have seen this in most isuzu rides. is this really normal or i need to have something adjusted. i just had my 20k PMS done and changed fuel filter as well, but nothing changed.

1. Tell tale signs to look out for.
2. Signs or what to look out for other types of services.
3. Engine diagnosis [somewhat related to tell tale signs].
4. Calibration flow chart with solutions. Tools will not be included as this are not ordinary tools.
5. How to drive diesel engines without smoke belching.
6. Emission testing.
7. Calibration timelines or recommended intervals either in years or odo readings.
anybody else? can we have the mods make this or the new thread a sticky one?
I'll do everything this weekend so answers will be posted by monday in several formats like .doc, .pdf, .txt or .html or simply posted everything here.Last edited by Doc Diesel; October 26th, 2005 at 10:33 PM.

October 26th, 2005 11:03 PM #16Doc Diesel,
I have a 2000 pajero 2.8 Napansin ko mahina na hatak. On highways when overtaking nageemit ng black smoke like a squid pero this happens pag nagdown shift yun auto tranny niya. Medyo malakas siya sa diesel. Around 4 lng siya city driving lng. Have failed emmission tests na rin for last 2 years. 46,000 kms na siya. Am planning palang pero would more or less like to know costs. TY
