    Hi Tsikoters!

I have a 2012 Hyundai Accent (gas) whose engine hesitates or judders every time I engage something electrical like the power windows, aircon, headlights, wipers or sometimes even just the radio.

The juddering is quite subtle; there is very little vibration in the cabin. Just enough to be felt through the steering wheel and annoy me.

I have tried replacing the battery. It was still from the factory anyway. But that did not get rid of the juddering.

I think I want to try fuel system cleaners next (sea foam treatment spray via air intake). But if anyone has any suggestions, it would be highly appeciated!

    my wild guess is,
your problem is electrical-related, and not engine-related.
it appears that the current going to your engine is diminished when an electrical appliance is opened.
this suggests to me, of a poor electrical contact, that limits the flow of electricity. it is un-able to conduct larger amounts of electricity.
    good luck.

Is the rpm affected when you turn on electricals?

I'm guessing its the engine load of the alternator, medyo ramdam lang ngayon due to the age of the car and (after 5 years) luma na din engine supports mo

yup, poor electrical contact. maybe a loose connection somewhere between battery and main fuse/relay box. or a main fuse about to go, already partially melted. try tightening all the electricals and check the main fuses. are there any signs of burnt insulation?

Have alternator checked also ... if it is still giving proper current and charging the battery at full capacity ... or maybe your engine needs de-carbonizing ...

kung sobrang hina lang naman natural lang yan syempre may load ung mga electrical mo kaya medyo bumababa ung kuryente

I've checked the fuse box, at walang sunog or natunaw don. Just last week, ibinaba yung dashboard ko for major cleaning ng air con. We weren't looking at the wiring too closely pero I would think na obvious yung nasunog na wiring/insulation so nakita sana siguro namin kung meron.

Like others suggested, thanks I'll get the alternator checked. Pero as far as decarbonizing goes, hinihintay ko na lang dumating yung order kong seafoam treatment; I'll update here kung may ramdam na improvement.

Have you done the routine maintenance procedure first?

The vehicle is almost 6 years old. If the idle air control valve and the air passages haven't been cleaned yet, do this first. Don't speculate that the ELD ( electrical load detection) circuit is bad. Over time, the crankcase emissions, particulates and buildup of gum and varnish makes this idle air control valve sluggish or stuck
