Good day sirs. Is it normal or, should I say, is it part of the cleaning/lubricating effects of adding 2t if the engine starts exhibiting the following:
    1. No longer starts on 1 click?
    2. Engine sputters at start up?

My ride started showing these symptoms today. When I started up this morning, it took 3 attempts before it finally started. It started on the 2nd try but sputtered and died. Once it started, it was ok but gave me jitters that it would unexpectedly sputter/die again when driving (fortunately it did not). Again, it happened this afternoon. This time, 4 attempts. 2nd and 3rd tries were the start-sputter-die cycle. The engine always started on 1 click prior to my starting with the 2t. Is this a good thing (meaning it is showing signs of something that will be improved later on)? Has anyone experienced the same thing?

It would not have any effect on how your engine starts. You might want to check your fuel filter.

Check your battery as well. Start-up problem usually is battery or fuel filter or fuel injection having some kind of issue. Puwede din sabay-sabay yan. Baka dahil sa 2T na-dicongest fuel lines mo at nagbara fuel filter kaya sinisinok ride mo sir.

Same thing happened to an L200 but was addressed after the all injector nozzles were cleaned (P350 labor for all) and a new fuel filter was put in. Probably the injectors got clogged because of the deposits in the injection pump and fuel lines that the 2T oil freed up. Now, it runs with 2T like a wonder.

Yeah, probably that's the situation with dbok02 since he is using 2T just recently.

Just an update sirs, I just found a leak from the feed pump sensor (the one attached to the fuel filter). Its coming from the small drain valve below the assembly. I believe this is the one causing the hard starting and sputtering of the engine. Had the engine die on me 7 times last night from airport to mandaluyong. The thing is, I had this same part replaced barely 3 months ago due to a similar leak (this was before I started using 2t, fuel filter is also roughly 3 months old). Could this be also due to clogging (assuming the 2t already freed up a pile of gunk from the fuel lines) or to a defective part? Will have the injectors checked and cleaned as suggested though. Also, is there a process for cleaning/purging fuel lines (do I need to have this done)? Hoping things would be ok after this.

At first we were hesistant to try this, but i insisted it to my dad, since i read many forumers are using it already.haha. after consuming a total of 4 2T oils(1 week interval) from seaoil, the idling and running of our 4m40 engine became smoother, thanks for sharing this! Totoo nga nawala yung "nginig" pag pinapatay yung makina

Ive tried putting more than 5ml of 2t for every liter of fuel.... every time na dagdagan ko ng 2t parang mas gumaganda ang hatak aand nawawala ang usok while on idle.... right now i put approx. 15ml of 2t for every liter of diesel.... so far wala pa din white smoke para ngang gumaan pa ang takbo.... i use only the cheap 2t bought at a local motorcycle shop worth 100 pesos / liter......

Thanks for the heads-up guys, will buy sa mga motorcycle shops. Admittedly, there is a big difference in engine response, less smoke, less noise/vibration. Dati umaalog side mirror ko pag naka stop, ngayon hindi na! Also changed to a Baldwin fuel filter. Two Thumbs up!

Iv'e been using 2T for my vios for a few months now, engine is running more quietly and smoother (bear in mind that my car has 125k in mileage). It is also has better fuel economy (not by much). In my opinion if the engine is new you probably wouldn't be able to tell the benefits (NVH reduction and fuel economy) but, if the engine is old the benefits are more pronounced. I dare say that the 2T restored the running condition of the engine to when it was new. Ratio I am using is 1.5 ml per liter. My spark plugs do not have any oil residue. In fact, my mechanic did not advise me to change my spark plugs since its still in good condition, they just cleaned it. HTH.
