Newbie here. I owned a 2012 Montero sports VGT glsv model. Is it ok to use 2T in it? I also owned 2013 2.2L mazda bt-50 and the engine crdi specs shows this - Both 2.2L and 3.2L powerplants feature a cast-iron cylinder block with ladder frame construction for greater rigidity, an aluminum cylinder head, maintenance-free chain-driven camshafts, and maintenance-free hydraulic lash adjusters. An advanced ultra-high pressure (1,800 bar) common-rail injector system with precision multi-stage piezo injectors is fitted to all diesel engine variants, with a variable-nozzle turbocharger on the 3.2L and 2.2L units. Is it still ok to add 2T in it? TIA

I believe so, try reading page 60 of this thread for faqs sir. From my experience between Seaoil and Shell, Seaoil fuel burn better but feels dry compared to Shell fuel so I think 2T will help with Seaoil fuel.

sir sa page 1 biodiesel 2% ang pinaka da-best, ang sa pinas yata ay 5% biodiesel ang binebenta. Ngayon depende na lang yan sa gas station kung malinis at walang halo na iba, alam mo naman sa pinas.

Car is 1994 toyota corolla with 1.6 efi 4AFE engine. Modifications on the engine include sleeved cylinders(still standard bore size), domed 4AGE high comp pistons, shaved cylinder head and block, ported and polished head, 4-1 exhaust manifold, and cone air filter. Stock ecu signals for idle were bypassed since idle was too high coz of the mods and a manual switch for idle control was installed. Before using 2T if you lower the idle below 850 rpm, idle would be rough and was dipping up and down between stalling and desired 750 rpm. Engine noise and vibration is typical/ normal for a 19 year old car. After a full tank of gas with 2T , 2 ml/liter ratio, idle is now nailed to 750rpm and not jumping around. I am also not exagerating when i tell you that idle noise and vibration is like a brand new car. Almost non existent. By the way mileage on car is still outstanding . 12 -14 km/lit combined. Around 11km/lit if your always mashing the pedal to get some accleration off traffic lights

+1, same observation with my 8 year old vios (130k mileage) (1NZFE). I noticed mine was idling very low around 500~700 rpm (digital tachometer so can't really place a definite figure) with none of the noise and vibration. Tried testing not placing 2T but the engine noise returned and the engine feels more sluggish. After that been using it for around 7 months with no adverse effect except placing too much 2T .

The ethanol mix that's in fuels these days plays havoc on older cars, Plus you get lower fuel economy on it. It dries out seals and rings in carburetors and in the fuel pump. So it's good to add 2T to even a gas engine to keep things running good.

Sir, may I please know if there are preparations necessary before adding 2T in my fuel. My ride is a Nissan Frontier 2001, 4x2 with QD32 engine. It has run for 101,000KM and its everyday fuel is Petron Diesel Max. Engine is all stock or no modifcation has been made. Maintenance in terms of change oil/filter is every 5,000km. Thank you in advance.

None. Just start mixing with a mix of 5ml of 2T oil per liter of diesel fuel and after some time, you'll see the difference.

Ok lang po ang shell 2T. Basta FB or FC. Yung decarbonizer ok yun panglinis sa makina. What is not recommended is fully synthetic 2T oils

As of writing, super ordinary 2T lang gamit ko, yung P110/liter na ginagamit ng tricycles (will post the brand pag nasilip ko). FB rated. So far so good!

Your Montero is still a old school diesel it does not meat the 29000psi threshold for the cutoff for using 2T oil. I always go on facts not opinion.

http://www.diesel-art.com/manuales/M..._triton6Ad.PDF You make 180mpa which is around 26000psi.

Only a few high end cars have pressure high enough and that were designed for EURO 4 fuel will not need it. The newer KIA common rail diesels are about the only exception to the rule. They are just over 29000psi to squeeze power from a smaller displacement engine.

Put it in, run it and see if you can fell a difference. But it's not in anyway going to hurt your engine.

And yes you can use it in the rangers engine and the Everest common rail engines. They only make 23000psi.
Ok, i change my question. Is the all new 2012 rangers 2.2 engine pressure less than 29k psi?

Diesel owners that add 2T oil to fuel
