Please check this product data sheet of PTT High Speed 2T Jaso-FC:

    http://pttweb2.pttplc.com/weblub/Fil...ch/21_ePDS.pdf

    Quote:
"Formulates with PIB (Polyisobutylene) synthetic base stock for extremely clean combustion and reduces white smoke and deposits"

Also a quote from Shell Phils webpage regarding Shell Advance SX2 2T triple Jaso-FB:

"Shell Advance SX2 2T Triple is a unique, premium quality mineral oil fortified with synthetic base fluid. Exclusively designed for all 2-stroke engines fitted with oil injection or premix systems, it exceeds international standards and meets leading motorcycle manufacturers’ requirements. It’s suitable for modern, touring, seasoned and classic bikes."

dvldoc, does this mean it is not safe for use in our engines since they both have synthetics in them? TIA.

Dont put kerosene in your fuel. It dries out seals and rings in your injection pump, and adds nothing to lubrication.

Most mechanics here dont have any real or formal training, so be leary of their advice.

Since I buy from a reputable shell station, I replace my fuel filter every 10,000kms. But using a bosch fuel filter now and I will try to extend to 20,000kms. Then I'll open it up.

Amco is now owned by BP. So Castrol yung oil na sinasabi niya malamang.

Sabagay Castrol is what BMW fecommends pero yung FS naman kasi ata na oil nila.

If for Diesel Engines exemptions are euro-designed diesel with high rail pressure and piezo electric injectors).
Question: Where in the service manual would you find this info?
    http://www.diesel-art.com/manuales/M..._triton6Ad.PDF

Any exemption on using T2 oil to Gas Fed Engines?

Some feedback i've read some, Having Oil residue on the spark plugs, Is that bad or good? What would cause that?

    thanks folks.

*Ry_Tower that looks like alot of work but il take note of that idea, im trying to do basic stuff first any other areas you can suggest cleaning? someone suggested cleaning exhaust also
You should replace your air filter every 5k km. Replace it first then observe it. Clogged air filter will make your car belch.

try to locate a hose that connects from the cylinder head(cover) to the air intake. connect the oil catch can there. connection should be: cylinder head --- oil catch can --- air intake.

The inlet of the fuel filter that you will use must have a hole bigger or at least same size as the outlet of the valve cover. This is to ensure free flow of blow by air. It also matter that the fuel filter is big enough to ensure no build-up of air which could damage your engine. That is why ideally, a fabricated or DIY OCC is to be installed to avoid problem.

Is it normal after adding 2T my idling at cold starts becomes very low that causes the car to vibrate a lot so what I do is step on the accelerator for around 15secs after that the idling already becomes normal. I dont experience this before when I still wasnt adding 2T. Thanks.

This is the only problem I experienced with 2T, all are positive effects. Smoother engine performance, less vibration, more power, lesser diesel consumption, etc.

There is a new product released by Liqui Moly.

LIQUI MOLY - Motor Oils, Additives, Car Care - Additive for blockages

"The additive is added before fuelling every 2,000 kilometres. The contents of a 250 ml can is enough for 50 to 70 litres of diesel fuel and is suitable for all vehicles with a diesel particulate filter, as long as they don't have an electronically controlled additive tank system for filter regeneration, as is the case in Citroen and Peugeot vehicles."

Was wondering, since I am already adding 2T oil in my Montero, will this also help in keeping the diesel system clean? Or not necessary if I use 2T every fill-up?

Adding 2 stroke oil to diesel tank - read this - The Brick-yard - Page 1
