Hi sir, I have a Gen 2 Pajero 3 door 4M40 and I was just wondering if 5km/liter city driving is normal consumption for this kind of engine? So far i don't experience hard starting every morning and the power of the engine is good but for me it consumes a lot of fuel given that I'm a light footed driver. Is there any way or do you have tips on what can i do to improve my fuel consumption?

By the way, I haven't had any repairs on the engine nor had it calibrated yet, and I always do 5,000 km change oil and replace fuel filter. My km reading as of now is 150,000 sir. Would really appreciate your thoughts on this.

Try these: 1) check replace air filter, 2) remove any unnecessary cargo from your car, 3) check tire type, size, and inflation pressure, 4) Use less aircon or increase your temp settings a bit.
