so even if bago ang mga nozzle tips ko and bago ang air filter ko and i had my injection pump calibrated 5months ago at mausok pa upon pedaling to a higher speed...i need to have my injection pump re calibrated again?

so ung sinasabi niyo po sir na injection pump or injectors is the whole assy ng injection pump ko dipo ba mahal un its like buying a new one? TIA, ilang araw ko napo kasing iniicip ito, and napapagastos ako, like if i bring it to the calibration shop irerecalibrate nanaman gastos nanaman.

Hello there sir! I am asking for a friend to whom we sold our 2002 4JX1 Trooper. Not long after we sold him the car, nahalata niya na matindi ang usok. So far I have never seen the Trooper emit so much smoke in all the eight years it has been with us. It is a very well maintained car. Using Shell V-Power Diesel eases the problem a little bit pero napakausok parin. The injectors and throttle position sensor have already been replaced free of charge through Isuzu's recall. Also he complains na pumapalya daw ang makina at 1500-1800rpm, minsan daw near total loss of power at that rpm range. I'm suspecting that the EGR is the culprit. What do you think? If it really is the EGR which is the culprit can you prescribe where it can be fixed?

This is possible, but we cannot be sure until the car is scanned. Tech II is the correct scan tool for the Isuzu Trooper.

If it really is the EGR which is the culprit can you prescribe where it can be fixed? I will PM you....

I believe you have encountered quite a number of smoky Troopers before, right? What is usually the problem? Care to share a bit?

    1) Blocked air filter
    2) Blocked CAT
    3) Faulty EGR
    4) Faulty injectors
    5) Faulty turbo

Hmm~ The car is only around 75tkms old. Air filter has been cleaned, injectors have been replaced around 20tkms ago, turbo has also been replaced a bit earlier than that (swindled, it could still be fixed! ). That'll leave us with the EGR and CAT I suppose. What exactly is the CAT again?

An authorized diesel workshop will know the correct nozzle part number and pressure setting for your car. They have the necessary technical information. They can even check if your originally installed nozzles are correct. It is possible that your nozzles were previously replaced before.

ill just have it re calibrated and have some few adjustment, specifically what adjustment should be done naman in your own opinion? Maximum (full load) fuel setting. This information is stated on the calibration specifications of your injection pump.

EGR = Exhaust Gas Recirculation: This device improves emissions....
