Engine dying at high speed, man thats scary! Good thing your safe.
Had a similar experience a few years ago. Driving a beat up old VW Golf. Engine quit at 30-40 kmh approaching a turn. Was able to restart the car by keeping it in gear and pumping the clutch, ala jump start. I dont blame the car as it was a really beat up. It was in an auction and we had some "gems" there.
Just hope Toyota fixes this issue before someone gets hurt.
