Cruise control during break-in period

Just drive normally and use all the features of ur car the first day you have it.

When I broke-in my 2019 Camry SE, I stuck to roads with 40 mph to 50 mph stop and go traffic. I kept RPM no higher than 4000. Later in the break-in period, I started using the paddleshifters and experimented with shifting at different RPM ranges, while remembering to keep RPM at 4000 or less.

Once the odometer went past 630 miles, the break-in period was over. Only then did I take the car to the freeway, accelerating to freeway speeds (65 mph to 85 mph) and taking it beyond 4000 RPM, usually 5000 and less than 6000 RPM for spirited acceleration (red line is 7000 RPM).

Oh. The manual stated the first 630 miles is the break-in period. It varies, depending on the car.

do not maintain constant speeed for long periods. this means don't use cruise control at particular speed for long periods

what's so difficult to understand w/ this simple sentence

avoid unnecessary hard stops...pwede
avoid full throttle starts...pwede

well be doubtful if it says sacrifice a goat or something. but that babad at constant speed is on every user's manual i've read but i'm not an engine nerd so i can't really say for sure. but i think it has to do w/ resonance. at particular engine RPM AND load certain spots on the parts are polishing against each other. if you vary the RPM or load other spots get polished

Doable... 1k kms lang naman pala... [emoji106] thanks for sharing travi bai... sa instructions na yan parang sinasabi nila na gagamitin mo yung sasakyan na hindi masyadong agressive and not really conservative... hehehe for 1k kms... after that, you can go back to your driving style...

i see. but imo, if it concerns internal parts getting polished, i would say mas maganda siguro kapag constant speed para smooth ang rubbing ng parts.
