corolla 91 engine repair

Hi! I have a corolla 91 with a 2e 12valve engine. 3x ko na naexperience na pumapalya ang makina and after mapacheck-up sa mekaniko timing lang ginagawa nila. Ngayon 3x na yun nangyari at umuulit pa din problema. A friend told me na kailangan na daw i-overhaulk yung makina dahil yung sparkplugs nababasa na ng langis and umiitim yung dulo ng spark plugs. tapos malakas din ang spit ng langis dun sa oil check. Di naman malakas ang bawas sa langis, actually parang maliit lang ang bawas. Ano kaya magandang gawin dun?

try nyo check yung pcv valve baka barado na and baka masyado lang rich yung mixture ng gasoline kaya maitim yung dulo ng spark plug

Paano po ba ayusin kung masyadong rich ang mixture? saan ako magaadjust? Pictures would be greatly appreciated po.

I don't think too rich a mixture could cause your engine to fail. It would bring up more carbon into your spakplug tip but the engine would not fail. If your friend found a sparkplug that is wet from oil then there is a great chance that that cylinder is failing. The oil causes the sparkplug to misfire thus making the power distribution out of balance. Check for Cylinder compression before replacing anything. And one more thing, if one of the cylinder is pumping oil, oil consumption won't be noticeable.
