I think oj88 has already provided the answer, TS. A performance car, first and foremost should have an efficient and effective cooling system. I think this thread should be closed as it was already addressed.

As for the why and what you can already do research by using google, the internet is a vast resource of information and knowledge at your disposal, as pointed out by oj88 and other people in the forum.
