Refill water using the expansion tank / reservoir ... Distilled water mixed 50/50 with Pre-mixed coolant ... So it will come out 75% water / 25% coolant ... We don't really need the anti-freeze properties ...

September 22nd, 2018 05:23 PM #22You should regularly check your coolant levels. If it is low level, add coolant until it is in the right level. If it is your schedule to rplace coolant, then drain the old coolant. Flush with distilled water until clean, then replace the coolant. The reservoir innolder cars is a an overflow tank. As the coolant heats, it expands and builds pressure then overflows to the reservoir tank. When the engine coold down, low pressure sucks it back to the radiator. Never fill the reservoir to the top, there should be space left for the overflow.

Hello,
Mirage yung unit ko, sana merong naka mirage dito. So yun nga, after ng 3rd PMS ko sa casa, nag try ako MOTECH, then pinalitan nila completely yung OEM na color blue coolant. However, I noticed a significant drop sa level nung coolant. Unlike dun sa OEM that lasted for 2 years at least. Yung huling PMS ko is parang months ago lang then nasa "L" level na agad yung coolant solution. So pinuntahan ko agad si owners manual, then check for leaks daw, fortunately walang leak na makita anywhere. May alam po kayo bakit nangyari yon? Is it bad since wala nmn leak?
Also, I ordered the PRO99 coolant online to refill until it reaches the "F" mark sa reservoir. Okay lang ba tong gagawin ko? May feedback ba kayo sa PRO99 na brand?

October 28th, 2018 02:11 AM #24i do not know if your car has a radiator cap or not.
if it has one, perhaps the cap needs to be replaced by a new one? maybe the mating surfaces are already pitted?

Check coolant when the engine has cooled down for a few HOURS ... or early in the morning before engine is started ...

Hello salamat sa mga responses. Eto po mga na observe ko;
1.) Diko sya napansin agad. Mga 5-7 months ago last pms ko ang recently ko lang napansin. walang leak or anything. so wala tlg ako idea why it dropped to low level that fast. unlike nung orig coolant pa nakalagay na inabot ng taon.
2.) may radiator cap sya. binuksan ko and since di nmn ako expert pagdating sa cooling system, wala nmn ako nakitang unsual. puno nmn sya pag sa radiator cap titignan pero sa reservoir under low level na sya.
3.) wala nmn usok sa pipe pag nagstart or cold start pero may tumutulong parsng tubig. i guess normal naman yon coz it does that eversince. sinubukan ko sya i check befor and after running the vehicle it self naka low padin sa reservior.
try ko siguro muna i refill bago ko patignan. if after refill ganun padin baka need na dalhin sa kasa since radiator to. diko sure kug yung solution ang problema or yung system. okay lang ba lagyan ng wilkins distilled water yung reservoir? ilang days pa ata dadsting yung coolant na inorder ko hehe

October 30th, 2018 05:45 PM #29You may call this as "Last-Touch" job failure. My guess is..Si Motech na huling nagpalit ng coolant mo ay hindi na-bleed ang air sa cooling system. After a few use and heat cycles, nag self-bleed ang air thru rad-cap and reservoir kaya nabawasan ang coolant sa reservoir. My advice is..Stay cool, just top-up with premix coolant then observe.

Exactly. What about due process, right?
