    Guys, could you recommend a repair shop other than Casa that could read the ECU? My friend's check engine light is always on and he doesn't want a mechanic that would resort to Trial and Error method. Thanks.

    pag CEL wala kang choice but to go to a shop that has the appropriate diagnosis tool.

    Correct me if I'm wrong, pero diba the
    CEL comes on in 2 ways?

    If it's steady , maybe your friend only needs to check the fuel
    filler cap.Just tighten it and the light should turn off after
    a few driving trips (nangyari na kase sa kin twice)

    If it's blinking naman,that's the time to take it to a shop.

    have his car scanned by an OBDII scanner to get the codes and try to research what the codes meant. Depending on the car, it may have to hook up with and OBDI or OBDII which a RS232 connector can be found under the steering wheel.

    starting next week, we'll have a obd2 scanner plus car specific (bmw, benz, volvo, audi, etc) diagnostic tools in the shop. feel free to drop by
